The Dean Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 This means that McGee is walking after next season IMO. That's news? Did you actually think they would keep him?
michaelfromgermany Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 That's a little better. But I still hate this franchise. i can not believe we pass on Unger and Brown for another CB. We have 3 or 4 good CB. Maybe as insurance if McGee goes next year.....but.....why not a CB in the 3rd.... its stunning
H2o Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 That's news? Did you actually think they would keep him? Wishful thinking I guess
davefan66 Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Death to "The Circle". This means that McGee is walking after next season IMO. Correct
UConn James Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 !@#$ you russ This reeks of Dick Levy. As he's a junior, they probably look at it as insurance for McGee leaving next year, and as a replacement for Roscoe at returning punts, if they can move him today or tomorrow. Typical Dick pick, tho. We have big holes elsewhere and he lusts for DBs. I'm not going to miss him when he's canned after this season (then again, that's what I said last year at this time ).
Brandon Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Byrd had 17 picks last season He had 17 interceptions in three seasons. He had 5 this past season.
bisonbrigade Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 I don't care if he is a good player or not, The Bills do'nt need a stinking CB. I guess Pat Thomas is the OLB, Fine is the TE and Bell is the LT. Another 7-9 season he we come.
H2o Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Byrd had 17 picks last season 17? He would've been the first B taken.
BEAST MODE BABY! Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 I'm not going to miss him when he's canned after this season (then again, that's what I said last year at this time ). Bye-bye Dick. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
dave mcbride Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Gil Brandt and Adam Schein said the guy can play, not fast but he makes plays. A bit of a reach, a few injury issues but they feel he'll be good. FWIW Not supportive of this pick, but the guy clearly makes plays, and could be a good safety. The Bills don't intercept passes, and this guy does.
webtoe Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 17 picks in 3 years! That certainly sounds like ball skills that we have not seen in our backfield in a while. They also said the strength was route recognition, which would seem to fit with FS, or maybe slot CB Not thrilled with the pick, but that info increases the rationale for the pick
ax4782 Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Things were going so well. I was beginning to think that the FO had finally figured out what we needed to get better and then they go and do something like that. Then we pass on a bunch of great OL that would really be able to help us and take a CB. Maybe the guy can be our new safety, but to me that's not a position of need. We're loaded in the secondary. We needed OL and DL and a TE. Now we're going to be scrammbling to find a person to back up Chambers and Walker in at the Tackle position, unless they're planning on trading back up into the second round and getting another player. Since we aren't a real trade happy club, that doesn't seem likely. Just frustrating. Ugh!
BigdaddyinOrlando Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Why can't we seem to do anything that seems remotely logical? Something always frustrates a fan of this club everytime!!!!
Wing Man Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 and with the 11th pick in the 3rd round of the 2009 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select Buffy Dinglehoffer OT/Cheektowaga School of Modeling :wallbash:
bills44 Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 49ers got Carolina's 1st rounder next year for #43. Is Byrd really going to be better than a 2010 1st rounder?
