duey Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 I thought last night's episode was excellent. Some observations - The whole thing with the moth was pretty cool. Goose-bumby at the end. Looks like Michael and the Korean lady are going to have some issues down the road; I like what they did with Charlie...the whole thing with his brother was interesting. And see...the island has again allowed a character to face his demons and win; I like that Sayid came right out and said that no one should have survived that Rosen. It needed to be said...and gave Kate something to think about. Kate...mmmmmmmmmm. Looks like Sawyer if finally going to get his next week...all that hoarding and being a dick finally catches up with him; and, Locke...what can you say...he went from being a complete freaking mess (i.e. thinking a dail-a-porn girl was going to run away with him) to being the svengali of the island. Locke rules! Got stevestojan, this show...good stevestojan. As always...looking forward to next week!
EndZoneCrew Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 Hey Mar-Tay......when's the next game you are coming up for? Are you still going to Miami?
duey Posted November 4, 2004 Author Posted November 4, 2004 Who hit that guy over the head? 100921 Ah...forgot to talk about that. My thought on that is that there are other entities on this island that are controlling the funky stuff that is going on. Either that or it was another survivor for whom this will be the beginning of another plot line.

They have footage of it cartwheeling down the runway, 185 out of 285 survived. http://www.airdisaster.com/special/special-ua232.shtml See it here. http://www.airborneaircrafts.com/media_Uni...DC-10_crash.htm

However, the difference between to two crashes is that the Sioux City Rosen occurred as the plane travelled along the ground surface. The impact effect was lessened by the lack of altitude. The Lost Rosen occurred when the tail section separated from the rest of the plane at a high altitude. There is no way that the remaining section of the fuselage should have done anything else except slam into the ground and explode into a million pieces.
swede316 Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 That's why I think they are all dead. They just don't know it.
stevestojan Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 That's why I think they are all dead. They just don't know it. 101072 I thought that too, but if they were all dead, why would there be "dead" people? You know what I mean? If they were all dead, yet 'thought' they were still alive, why did half of them die in the Rosen?
PastaJoe Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 I'm starting to think that the moth was like the Holy Spirit or a Guardian Angel. And that Sawyer is like the devil, tempting people to do bad, and testing them to see if they deserve to go to Heaven. The island may end up being Purgatory, where you have to prove that you deserve to go to Heaven after given a second chance. Maybe the ones that died in the Rosen were already clearly going to Heaven or Hell, so they went right away.

The Poojer Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 i missed it so i will have to go on your review. what happened to the pregnant lady? my wife was asking about her, did she die?
stevestojan Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 i missed it so i will have to go on your review. what happened to the pregnant lady? my wife was asking about her, did she die? 101138 no mention of her in the last 2 episodes. she is still alive (unless she died and they made no mention of it!)
gantrules Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 I thought it was interesting when Jack was sitting with A. Lilly that he said they could hopefully get off the island but they both seemed remorse about it. And as far as we know they were both loners. They are growing together and becoming a large family....very interesting. It seems to me that they all are giving up their pasts for the good of their future without any side effects. Charlie giving up the drugs, Jack giving up his father, Locke giving up his wheelchair. When Locke ran in to the "monster" or whatever it was he seems much more confident and comfortable being there. Same with Jack same with Charlie. Are they all truly lost or are they really becoming found????

gantrules Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 then what about the corpses' that are already there? It is a very good analysis...made me think.
PastaJoe Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 then what about the corpses' that are already there? Maybe some people never make it out of Purgatory. Or that's just their physical form, while their spirit is what leaves Purgatory Island. If anyone misses an episode, ABC has been replaying them on Sat. nights.
SF Bills Fan Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 The moth thing was great. I thought for sure that hot chick on the beach would screw up the rocket/transimtter operation. It appears that Sayid would have found the origin of the broacast as the signal was strong, then got whacked. Obviously, he is ok because he has it out with Sawyer next week. I like the other people on the island. The characters and other guys that are in the background. They are the equivalent of the crewman on Star Trek that wore the red shirts. Faceless nobodies that get killed. This episode was better than last week. -------------- Go Bills
Talonz Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 Ok, without giving too much away could anyone explain to me what this show is about other than survivors stuck on an island?

There's been a cave in and our main studly dude character is trapped!!! All you peripheral no-line characters come help! Chances are one of you will buy it, but you never know."
duey Posted November 4, 2004 Author Posted November 4, 2004 Ok, without giving too much away could anyone explain to me what this show is about other than survivors stuck on an island? 101600 Well, in a nutshell, you have a bunch of beautiful people (with one fat guy) that survived an unsurvivable plane Rosen. Since they've been on the island, all sorts of freaky things have been going on. Kind of like Stephen King meets the Twilight Zone. Good stuff!
