RLflutie7 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I'm not impressed with the starting QB or RB for the Bills. Edwards lacks arm strength and Lynch runs into traffic too much and he can't seem to break tackles as well as advertised. Taking the USC QB Sanchez wouldn't be too bad and I'm thinking the Kansas State QB Josh Freeman wouldn't be so bad either. I'm not that impressed with the crop of running backs but I'm sure the Bills can find and effective runner. I'd take Moreno even though he seems a smallish 217. Wells is heavy at 235 put he's worth a look.

The league is full of serviceable RB's; the FB life expectancy is short and all teams utilize more than one back. We are fine with Lynch-Jackson_Rhode-Oman stable.

We have players at QB (Edwards) and RB (Lynch, Rhodes, Jackson) more than capable of being starters at the NFL level. Let's fix those positions where we DON'T have quality starters (like Keith Ellison) first before we start making luxury picks, yes?
RLflutie7 Posted April 25, 2009 Author Posted April 25, 2009 I'm gunna go ahead and assume this is a joke. No it's not. The Bills need RB and QB. Lynch is overrated. He can't seem to avoid contact enough.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I'm gunna go ahead and assume this is a joke. Oh it's a joke alright. It's just a question of whether it's intentional or not.

What you are saying "more than capable of being starters at the NFL level" is like a Bronco fan saying Chris Simms is the real deal.

el Tigre Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I think we're good at RB. But I'm not sold on Edwards. If Sanchez was there at 11 I'd take him. Won't happen tho.

Even though he's a troll I still had to PUNCH!! him. Amazingly, I agree with Beerball. This guy's a troll.

We are fine at RB...but if Sancez is there at #11 I wouldnt mind seeing us take him there. I wathced him play all year at USC, and I really think he will be the best QB to come out of this class. I am not totally sold on him only because of his limited body of work to really evaluate him, but he throws a great ball. Even if you dont want Sanchez, taking him at #11 if he is there would be great because we could keep him or turn around and trade him like SD did with Manning when they traded him for a bounty 3 picks later at #4 to NY for Rivers...

Couldn't agree more. There's always that option of trading him if the Bills are still sold on Edwards. I don't think Denver will pass up on him. I've seen many different things, including Denver taking a RB. I don't want Denver taking a RB that early, maybe later. And I'd welcome Sanchez to the fold in Denver. It's Denver's glaring need. But they could go defense too. They need it bad. I'd prefer the QB. Bottom line, it's anybody's guess.

You are right this would be a way to get more picks. Great call. I support your approach.
