From Mark Gaughan's story today:

'Bills officials insist one thing they will not do is reach for a lesser player based on need.

"Anytime you try to pigeonhole certain areas, that's where you have a tendency to get in trouble," said Russ Brandon, Bills chief operating officer and general manager. "We're going to be true to our board. We're going to do the best job we can do to add quality football players to our team."'

If by some chance Curry is there, they'll take him. If they don't, Brandon is a liar.

Why would you trade down if you can get a great player? I don't understand this logic. This team needs star players badly and you don't pass up the chance. If Curry is there he should be ours.

because the inner circle jerk would be able to blow more picks on average players

Russ would be able to use his fantasy football trading skills to maximum advantage

The Bills don't actually trade down, or at least not since Brandon's been here. I think 01 was the last time they traded down.

Good answer. Thanks for the useless comment.

sounds like who the Bills should draft if there at #11

a real NFL DE

not a midget part time player

I agree. He is being talked about as a 3/4 DE, but he played in a 4 man line in college.

Everette Brown has unbelievable moves, but is he a linebacker in the NFL? I really don't know, but the s.o.b. reminds me of DeMarcus Ware, and that is a good thing! :wallbash:

I still would rather take one of the top pass rushers over Curry. Mainly because I would take a Freeney over any LB in the league for my 4-3 defense. The closer we have gotten to draft day it seems Orakpo and Brown have been projected lower and lower. While I dont think they will fall in the draft today, I still think we need one of those guys ASAP

I think the question you have to ask yourself is whether you'd have Urlacher/Ray Lewis or Freeney. I'm not saying Curry is as good as those guys, but then again we have no idea if those DEs are as good as Freeney.

I would normally agree with you - especially since I've developed this man-crush on Orapko - but Curry is generally regarded as the best defensive player in the draft, bar none. I don't like to give creedence to silly pre-draft speculation like this, but I think if he's there you have to take him. OT, DE, and TE can be filled at #28, #42, and #75 in no particular order.
