Kingfish Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Hopefully this happens and one more player will slide down to us. http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/04/24/...ing-in-top-ten/ There’s chatter in league circles that a surprise pick could be made in the top ten of the 2009 draft. Of course, that could be said in any given year. But one source connected to one of the teams picking in the top ten thinks that an eyebrow-raising pick could be coming, given the names that currently are expected to be called at the top of the draft. We’ve got a weird feeling that the surprise could be Percy Harvin to the Raiders at No. 7.
Cugalabanza Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Well, the experts are going to be disappointed because everybody knows a surprise is not as fun if you are expecting it.
Mike In Illinois Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Couldn't they just title the story, "Who the Raiders Will Draft"? It seems Al Davis often takes a non-conventional draft pick.

Brandon Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 It'll be the Raiders. You know Al Davis wants to draft Darrius Heyward-Bey.
H2o Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 It'll be the Raiders. You know Al Davis wants to draft Darrius Heyward-Bey. That was my first thought. Tall, low 4.3 speed. Makes Al Davis think of Willie Gault all over again.
Saint Doug Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 There is always one team every single year that picks a head-scratcher. This is hardly a newsworthy comment.

I think it's usually us..I could be wrong tho ok before I get flamed..I think the picks they made did work out and in the long run are good picks..just at the time they are picked they are head scratchers
Steely Dan Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 That was my first thought. Tall, low 4.3 speed. Makes Al Davis think of Willie Gault all over again. Speed = Al Davis pick. Nothing else, just speed.
thewildrabbit Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 The guy that nobody has on their boards in the top ten is Malcom Jenkins, IF NE is going after anyone in the first round its him.
Thoner7 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Phew! Buffalo picks at 11, so it deffinately wont be them.
