Leonidas Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Every team has a draft board, so I thought I'd put my own together. This says nothing for trading up, trading down, or otherwise, just the players I would take if available. This combines value and need. I'd love to hear your thoughts. 2020 Our Year For Sure Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Do you mean Tyson Jackson as a DT? With our 4-3 zone scheme, the ends are ideally speed rushers, which he is not. He seems a much better fit as a 3-4 DE than as anything else.

Moore LeSean McCoy Paul Kruger Mohamed Massaquoi Josh Freeman Drew Willy Nate Davis Some interesting thoughts there Leo; I like the effort. Overall, here's my quick-hit reactions (you won't see any criticisms because this whole process is--as Mayock likes to say--an art, not a science): - I think you like the DEs as a group lot more than I do, outside of Tyson Jackson I have about 20 other guys on my board before I see a DE. - I totally agree on where you have the centers, I think they'll all be quality NFL linemen - Massaquoi is an interesting case, there are teams that love him as a 2nd rounder and those that don't think he belongs in the first 4 rounds...I happen to agree with you that he belongs on day 1. - Donald Brown is my #1 back, but I'm anxious to hear your thoughts on him since you probably watched him more than I did (I think you said you were a Husky, right?)...I only saw tapes from his Senior year and saw him in the International Bowl in person. - Overall, I think Cornelius Ingram is way over-valued by a lot of people, I don't have him on my board. That's all I got, nice work.
Brandon Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Most of mine are similar to what you always see. I don't rank them, but rate them by round and by tier in the 1st 2 rounds. I only have five players in the top tier, which usually corresponds to being worthy of a top 10 pick. Even with those five, I'm stretching it a bit. Yikes. I do have a few surprises: 1) Andre Smith -- 3rd round 2) Robert Ayers -- 3rd round 3) Michael Johnson -- 3rd round 4) Brian Robiskie -- Late 1st round 5) Brian Cushing -- Early 2nd round 6) Mark Sanchez -- Early 2nd 7) Aaron Maybin -- Late 2nd Most of these guys will end up going higher than this, much higher in some cases. This is just where I think they should go. I think Sanchez will probably go 4th to Seattle and Andre Smith probably 6th. The Seahawks and Bengals would be braver than I if that happens.
