Thoner7 Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 If we take Curry at 11 you better hope that we can get a quality DE at 28 and have quality LT already on the roster
Leonidas Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 you are one combatitve person. You must be a pleasure to deal with in real life You have no idea. However, I merely asked why this thread was started when these quite recent threads existed: http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=87437 http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...=87368&st=0 http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=86959 http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...p;#entry1392523

He posts like Maxim Afinogenov plays hockey, with passion, speed and energy. Max however is on the downslope. With a little focus and temperament Leonidas should improve greatly.
papazoid Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Leonidis and temperment ??.....everytime i see him, he is yelling.....lol btw..in the VERY unlikely event Curry is there at #11, of course you take him.
SouthGeorgiaBillsFan Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Would you guys be ok with dealing up to get him? I'd be able to get behind dealing the 11th pick and a 2nd rounder to move up to 3rd. Although I'm not sure if KC would make that deal. We could still get a quality player with the 28th pick (OL or TE) and then draft a DE in the third I suppose. I would be happy with that, or if they trade up to acquire one of the premier tackles in the draft. We have extra picks and could easily use them to make it happen. I feel like the Bills are in good position to move up on both of their first round picks if they so desire. If Curry is available at 11 its a no brainer to take him there. All that being said, I don't see any of this coming to pass, as I believe that the Bills are going to look at other needs first before trading up to get curry, and that he won't be there at 11.
yall Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Hypothetically to move up from #11 to #3 (to which I'm totally opposed) it would probably take our 1st (11) , our 2nd (42), and the higher of our 4th round picks (110). In addition, the cost of signing the pick at #3 would cost us more money than signing the three picks we traded away. But if he really turns out to be the best linebacker coming out of college in 10 years, wouldn't that be a small price to pay? (I realize pre-draft evaluations aren't worth the TP on which they are written, just playing devil's advocate).
JPicc2114 Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 If he drops a little.. I could see the bills moving up to grab him somewhere around pick #6

You'd be pissed off if you were stuck guarding the pass at Thermoplyae for the rest of eternity. Freakin' Ephialtes of Trachis...
michaelfromgermany Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 No way CURRY gets behind Nr. 5.... and everybody knows this

dutmost Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 This must be a trick question: If Curry is available at #11 ...The Bills will pass because in all likelihood Mr. Curry was critically injured or didn't wake up saturday morning.
thebandit27 Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 As an update, I'm hearing (from several sources including SI.com's Don Banks) that there's a growing possibility that Curry drops out of the top 4 picks if he doesn't go #1 to Detroit. I'm told that there's a growing sentiment that Kansas City won't want to pay upwards of $25M guaranteed for an ILB in a 3-4, and that their far more likely to take one of the two OTs or even a surprise pick (which I've seen mentioned on this board) in Tyson Jackson. Of course, that could all be hogwash if KC is worried that somebody like Cleveland will move ahead of them and grab Curry before they have the chance. Just thought I'd share.
