Yep, that one's on Ralph. I suspect it came down to a coin flip on which position to take, and Ralph probably said something like "you can never have too many good RBs"...

I actually think it was more like, "I want the !@#$ing RB."

Or more than likely, Ralph probably said something like "you can never have too many good RBs. How about that kid with the funny O name from Southern Cal? We really haven't had a good runner since Cookie burnt out"...

So, by your own list...

2002 2 guys

2004 1

2005 3

2006 1

2007 1

Not exactly different than any other front office. Get the griddle out, Andy...

What's your point here? Perhaps it's more important to draft lineman and hit rather than LB's, RB's and DB's and get winners. Because the proof is obvious: Reid wins games and he's not going anywhere.

We'll just have to wait and see when September rolls around.

Getting a player or two from each draft class isn't that amazing an accomplishment, IMO. And getting 'close but no cigar' on the ultimate prize isn't that special as well, in the grand scheme of things. It only looks good in Buffalo, I suppose.

Reid's tightrope gets narrower each season, as McNabb's hair gets thinner...
