cossack Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I thought many of you would appreciate this nightcap if you haven't already seen it. It's fair to say that when he wants to play Peters is a good, perhaps even great left tackle. But THE best? Really?????? From PFT: “Jason Peters is the best left tackle in football,” Eagles coach Andy Reid said in a statement. “He is a powerful and athletic tackle and I have admired his play over the last few years on film."

We'll see how he feels when JP uses his athleticism to help McNabb up after giving up 11-1/2 sacks

apuszczalowski Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 what do you expect them to say? Look at what they gave up and look at what they are paying him now? You think they would have doe that for some marginal player they didn't think was all that great? Did you expect them to come out and say that they made the deal because he was the best guy available at the time?
Dr. Fong Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Here's a news flash for everybody. In Philly he WILL play like the best LT in football. For whatever reason he was done in Buffalo and would have never regained form, even if given all the money he wanted. In Philly he will be determined to prove his worth and most likely will.
atlbillsfan1975 Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Maybe Coach Reid just saw video of the 2007 season. Seriously though, Peters could be the best LT in football, he has all the tools physically do be that. But mentally, and motivationally speaking i am not sold. But i guess we will all find out. Best case scenario, it works out for both teams. Bills use the extra picks to help build the team into a playoff one. Peters helps protect McNabb for his last few years. Then in 2010 the Bills play the Eagles in the Super Bowl and win by sacking McNabb on thie last play of the game going right over Peters. Ah one can dream.

I'm sure there were many Bills fans like you laughing at the Vikings for regarding Pat Williams as being one the best DTs in football.

I happen to like Peters as much as Reid does, but your post is still hillarious! By the way, I know about Reid's pathetic sons, but is he some kind of closet alcoholic himself? I've read other posts about Reid liking the occasional drink.
