OnTheRocks Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I just watched his concession speech and i think it may have been the best speech i have heard from him in the last 6 months.
_BiB_ Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Agreed. Edwards, though... Not a time to preach division.
OnTheRocks Posted November 3, 2004 Author Posted November 3, 2004 Edwards, though... Not a time to preach division. 99857 that is exactly what i was thinking...he kept talking about "we won't stop fighting".... i don't know..i just didn't think it was (pardon me) the right speech at the right time.
Thurman's Helmet Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Agreed. That was Kerry's best speech in my opinion. Edwards on the other hand was like a petulant child
BuffaloBorn1960 Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 agreed...funny they said it was the same speech writter Teddy used in '84... At least he is good a writting concession speaches
erynthered Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I listened also. Edwards sounded like an azz. Kerry's was good, heart felt, nice job John.
stuckincincy Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I just watched his concession speech and i think it may have been the best speech i have heard from him in the last 6 months. 99855 It was ok, but not being able to verbalize a single "congrats to the winner" was odd. Why withhold that?
SilverNRed Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Why is the concession speech always the best one? People said the same thing about Gore in 2000.
BillsNYC Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 That's like Gore. People thought he had no personality, then at his losing party, pics came out of him drinking beer and dancing....if he would have done that before the election, he may have won.
Paco Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Why is the concession speech always the best one? People said the same thing about Gore in 2000. 99878 It's like saying my favorite part of the Bills/Ravens game was the end of the game.
/dev/null Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 that is exactly what i was thinking...he kept talking about "we won't stop fighting"....i don't know..i just didn't think it was (pardon me) the right speech at the right time. 99863 it was the perfect speech for him to make, kicking off his 2008 presidential bid
