BillsFanNC Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 http://www.wgr550.com/Ruff-and-Regier-reta...ir-jobs/4223212 I'm glad they kept Lindy, but someone needed to take the fall for the brutality and I hoped it would be Regier. Anything less than a house cleaning for the dead weight on this team will be unacceptle.
Cornerville Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Regier staying means I STAY AWAY for another season
ans4e64 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I'm glad Ruff is staying. I could care less if Darcy stays or goes.

I truly think if everything had been left to Regier, the Drury/Briere mess wouldn't have happened. Probably would have still lost Chris, but not BOTH of them, which essentially forced the team to match Edmonton's offer sheet to Vanek.
PastaJoe Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Agreed. I truly think if everything had been left to Regier, the Drury/Briere mess wouldn't have happened. Probably would have still lost Chris, but not BOTH of them, which essentially forced the team to match Edmonton's offer sheet to Vanek. The rumor is that Regier and Drury had agreed on a contract, but it was rejected by Golisano. FYI, Ruff is only the 3rd coach in NHL history (since 1917) to keep his job after missing the playoffs for 5 of 7 seasons. The others were Frank Boucher and Barry Trotz. Looks like another season of inconsistancy and excuses.
