Astrobot Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 11 Buffalo Michael Oher OT Mississippi 28 Buffalo Robert Ayers DE43 Tennessee 42 Buffalo Eric Wood OG Louisville 75 Buffalo Chase Coffman TE Missouri 110 Buffalo Ricky Jean-Francois DT43 LSU 121 Buffalo Jonathan Casillas OLB43 Wisconsin 147 Buffalo Courtney Greene SS Rutgers 183 Buffalo Jerraud Powers CB Auburn 220 Buffalo Ryan Purvis TE Boston College I would have preferred Brannan Southerland FB in Round 7, but a very comfortable draft I could live with. 2020 Our Year For Sure Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I just don't see them taking linemen with their first 3 picks.

I like Jean Francois and Casillas iin there too.
jangalang Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Astro, That's a heck of a mock draft that is in your sig!
Astrobot Posted April 17, 2009 Author Posted April 17, 2009 I agree with you on everything Astro, that would be a very nice draft. I like Jean Francois and Casillas iin there too. Jean-Francois was the "other" DT next to Dorsey. Now he'd be next to Stroud; same difference. I still think Casillas is a better option than Ellison, but not better than a healthy Bowen. We'll see.
Billsguy Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I just don't see them taking linemen with their first 3 picks. They should re-build the lines FIRST! I would be delighted if they found 3 quality lineman with the top 3 picks. I would excuse one of the picks being an OLB or TE provided it was the last of the 3.
Kelly the Dog Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 All things considered, that would be a great draft. I don't believe for a second that Ayers will be there at 28.
Astrobot Posted April 17, 2009 Author Posted April 17, 2009 Astro, That's a heck of a mock draft that is in your sig! I hate to brag, but it's been there for a month.
In space no one can hear Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Jean-Francois was the "other" DT next to Dorsey. Now he'd be next to Stroud; same difference. I still think Casillas is a better option than Ellison, but not better than a healthy Bowen. We'll see. Can't you think of any more All-Pro Bills players you could trade to add even more players to your mock? I mean as long as your going to post a "fantasy" mock, why not really maximize your pleasure? That's how you build a winner in the NFL isn't it? Keep on trading your best players for picks every year? Trade (Peters to Philly) plus a tradedown (Detroit): 15 Buffalo Brian Cushing OLB43 USC 20 Buffalo Brandon Pettigrew TE Oklahoma St 21 Buffalo Robert Ayers DE43 Tennessee 28 Buffalo Max Unger OG Oregon 42 Buffalo Ron Brace DT43 Boston College 46 Buffalo Sean Smith FS Utah 82 Buffalo Antoine Caldwell OC Alabama 85 Buffalo Gerald McRath ILB Southern Miss 110 Buffalo Michael Hamlin SS Clemson 147 Buffalo Tyronne Green OG Auburn 183 Buffalo Kenny McKinley WRF South Carolina 220 Buffalo Brannan Southerland, FB, Georgia---Blocked for Brown at Georgia. BillsGuyInMalta Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 i dont see Ayers lasting to 28, i hope he does, but he's a top 15-20 pick Thats what makes the draft so much fun. Lets remember that Brady Quinn, Aaron Rodgers, Mike Jenkins, DeSean Jackson, Malcolm Kelly and Quentin Groves were all projected top 10 picks before the Draft started, and all slipped. You can never tell who falls.
jangalang Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I hate to brag, but it's been there for a month. But with the Peters trade, it's more of a reality than a pipe dream!

oddoublee Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Sad that we may have to take a OT at all in first round. Gained a pick and created a hole... Would everyone really be happy with Ayers? Not really a sack specialist. I just cant see a guy who got 4.5 sacks as a senior(career best) becoming a double digit sack guy in the NFL. I have my doubts.
Astrobot Posted April 17, 2009 Author Posted April 17, 2009 That would be an amazingly nice Draft!!! But I don't think Ayers lasts till #28 Overall...We'll see... We have Ayers on our Big Board http://www.drafttek.com/2009players.asp at #32. The player taken has to match team need and BPA. That's what DraftTek's computer simulation does. BillsGuyInMalta Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 What is going to make things really interesting now is if BJ Raji falls to #11. Man, I REALLY dont want to think about that happening.
Astrobot Posted April 17, 2009 Author Posted April 17, 2009 What is going to make things really interesting now is if BJ Raji falls to #11. Man, I REALLY dont want to think about that happening. Hey BGIM, what do you know about Daryl Richard, DT? I see him in your sig line and he's not even on my radar.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Hey BGIM, what do you know about Daryl Richard, DT? I see him in your sig line and he's not even on my radar. He's a wide-body who actually has some decent pass rush skills (9 sacks and 22 TFL in the last two years as a DT in the insanely tough ACC). He's one of the smarter players in the draft, graduated very quickly from Georgia Tech and really ran the Defense while he was at GT. He needs some technique work, but he strikes me as a sleeper who could really do some damage when lined up next to Stroud. Definitely needs a clogger next to him to tie up O-Lineman, but could provide a decent pass rush.
stuckincincy Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I just don't see them taking linemen with their first 3 picks. Perhaps some are two-way and can also pass rush?
/dev/null Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 42 Buffalo Eric Wood OG Louisville 110 Buffalo Ricky Jean-Francois DT43 LSU So we lost Peters but got Wood and and a Dick
