Just read that the Bills took the 1st and 4th and then the 6th or 7th next year to add flexibility. I would have taken the 1st and 3rd in a second. This just makes me even more mad than I already am

If this is true, and I say if, they are idiots. You take the 1st and 3rd. Screw a 6th or 7th Round pick. :wallbash:

Sadly, I had the same interpretation. Russ "Moneyball" Brandon with another tricky move. Probably insisted on the later first round pick for the same reason.

3rd rounder costs more money to sign than a 4th rounder + 6th rounder does.

Duh.

too be honest I don't mind it that much.......

Just look at last year

3 Chris Ellis Virginia Tech

4 Reggie Corner Akron

4 Derek Fine Kansas

6 Xavier Omon Northwest Missouri State

7 Demetrius Bell Northwest State (LA)

7 Steve Johnson Kentucky

7 Kennard Cox Pittsburgh

In fact with exception of Crowell, Edwards and Youboty who are still question marks IMO.....we have had no success in Rd 3 in the last decade. Ron Edwards was ok I guess, and Jonas Jennings couldn't stay on the field.

I was going to post this, but finally had to go workout after delaying it for an hour to monitor the breaking Peters news, before it got too crowded/late at the gym.

Going with the 4th rather than the 3rd tells me that the conditional pick is much higher than a 6th rounder. The difference between a 3rd and 4th rounder at the same position of each round is about 100 points. That's worth an early 4th rounder.

What a joke. What an absolute joke. First we botch the paperwork on a deal to get something for Dockery, then we forget that 4 is a higher number than 3.

Absolutely ridiculous.

If the Bills plan to just hold onto the picks, then I completely agree with you.

But before we fly off the handle, what happens if we take that 4th and package it in a trade for someone?
