MattM Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 ...the Bills use some of the money they undoubtedly freed up in this trade to go out and sign someone like Freddie Keiaho and/or Rhodes, for ex.? I'm sure the FA had about $10 million cash to cap budgeted for JP this year and no way a late first rounder eats up that kind of cash on his own.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Not unless they went out and signed a decent OT with that money. Just some veteran OT who, at the very least, could be an above-average starter while our rookie first rounder develops. I hear Jonas Jennings is available...
bills_fan Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I hear Jonas Jennings is available... If he's healthy, that isn't such a bad idea, on a 1-year minimum risk type contract.
bills_fan Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 HA You'd get 8 games of decent play at the LT slot.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 ...of decent play at the LT slot. Even that's debatable.

No. Can either of them hold up against DE's to protect Trent's blindside? Like I said, no.
damj Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 If he's healthy, that isn't such a bad idea, on a 1-year minimum risk type contract. If we signed him he would lop off a finger from the mother of all paper cuts while signing his contract.
Ghost of Rob Johnson Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 No. Can either of them hold up against DE's to protect Trent's blindside? Like I said, no. They didn't have that to begin with.
