BeastMode54 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 If Oher, Andre Smith, Brown, Cushing, Maybin, and Ayers are there at 11, what do we do? I'm fuming over this trade, but I want to know what people think we should do to try and at least fill our HUGE holes
BillsGuyInMalta Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Take the best OT available at #11. Take the best pass rusher (doesnt HAVE to be a DE by the way) at #28. Take the best TE in the 2nd. Take the best OG in the 3rd Take the best OLB in the 4th Take the best player available from that point in.
BuffaloBaumer Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 When Did Larry Quinn take over the Bills?? Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.....I really think half the people I know could GM this team better than these idiots.
billybob Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 If Andre Smith or Micheal Oher are Available you go there first if not you hope a defender like Raji or Tyson Jackson is there and that the Gods have smiled on Bell.
BeastMode54 Posted April 17, 2009 Author Posted April 17, 2009 I've said this in other posts, but if an "elite" left tackle isn't there at 11, I think we should see if we could trade back to get more picks

Bufcomments Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 if they have faith that Kirk Chambers can man the LT spot then its best pass rusher on the board. if they feel that Chambers can man the LG postion , then the Bills go best OT, LB, TE in that order Now I cant wait for next weekend
nick in* england Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Trade back a few spots with 11 - to about 15, pick up a 3rd rounder in the bargain. Draft DE/TE with the first pick, OT with the second. Whatever you didn't get with the first pick DE/TE go for that round 2.
Brandon Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 It depends upon their opinions of both Kirk Chambers and Demetrius Bell. If they like both guys, they can afford to wait a bit to add some competition at OT. This is a good class of OTs. They can afford to show some patience as there's likely to be a good one available at 28. They could even wait until pick 42, knowing that they have enough draft picks remaining that they could move up from that spot if they had to. The best idea of all might be to move down from 11 if possible, acquiring another 2nd round pick in the process. This would give them a total of four picks in the first two rounds, which would go a long way towards building up this team.
BuffOrange Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Take the best player who isn't a RB, WR, or DB in every round.
Kelly the Dog Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 The Bills brass are going to have strong opinions on all four of the top LT prospects in the draft. It's likely not the same as other teams and it's very likely that they may like, say, two of them a lot, and two of them not nearly so much. If three LTs get drafted before us, which is very possible if not almost certain, we better hope to God that the guy who is left is a guy the Bills are high on. It's possible all four will be gone. We may come out of the first round of the draft with no LT at all if he is not the guy.

Oneonta Buffalo Fan 2 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Now it's OL if someone good is available. Still like Brown though.
Leonidas Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I haven't seen a single mock with Oher going top 10. Why does everybody think he won't be there? Personally, I think Andre Smith is going to be a *huge* bust, so with any luck he'll be gone. I think Orakpo will be gone anyhow so I'm not all that upset about missing out on Brown/Ayers (who very well might be available at #28)/Maybin.

They're in a position to judge him more accurately than we are. And lets not forget that it hasn't been long ago at all that they put their trust in a completely unproven Jason Peters.
BuffaloRebound Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 The better question is what do the Bills do with the money ($8-10m? per year) they were going to give Peters? I really hope they have a plan that doesn't include starting rookies and journeymen on the OL. What's the latest on Waters from KC?

Fewell733 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 can use the 28 and something else to trade up and grab a LT in the low 20s or high teens. Generally lots of teams want to trade down and are eager for dancing partners.
Max997 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 If Oher is there he should be the pick...will step right in and most likely play better then Peters did last year they could still get a DE with the 28th pick
