TimGraham Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afceast/0-7-83/...for-Peters.html
Lori Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 The NFL source said he expected the Eagles to give Peters a contract that will make the undrafted Arkansas tight end quite happy. ...sigh...
bills_fan Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 One of the worst deals I've seen. Pay the franchise LT franchise LT money. We will never have a winning organization with this type of bs attitude.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Not happy with the compensation. Wanted more...the 20th instead of the 28th, and a 3rd instead of a 4th. Not happy.
quikchomp Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I'll take it. Bottom line is he was being unreasonable and it would have never come to a resolution. Can't wait for the draft.
BEAST MODE BABY! Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Hey Jason, don't hurt your groin (again). Hey Donovan, watch your backside. Hey Russ, learn how to negotiate. God, I hate this franchise.
QB Bills Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 This organization is a complete joke. What a kick in the balls.
KD in CA Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I'll take it. Bottom line is he was being unreasonable and it would have never come to a resolution. Can't wait for the draft. Ditto.
JPicc2114 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 28th pick is like a second rounder. FOR A PRO-BOWL LEFT TACKLE?!!
Peter Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Not only did we get hosed on the non first round picks, we did not even get the Eagles earlier pick in the first round. This is a horrible deal.
stuckincincy Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 ...sigh... Seemed like this was an inevitability...oh well, now they move on. Stoking things - could the Bills be thinking about packaging and moving up?
Brandon Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I'll reserve judgement until I see what the conditions on the 2010 pick are. As it stands, its a bit underwhelming, but at the same time, but they didn't have much choice.
bills_fan Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 This is awful, simply awful. Who the F--- is going to play LT now? How about LG? You finally find a pro bowl LT after searching since 1993 (wil Wolford) and now this is how you treat the man? This organization is completely ridiculous. Yeah, we saved $1.5 million, cash to cap wahhhh!!!! We have draft picks!!! Wahhh....friggin ridiculous. This is the first day in my 33 years of life I can honestly say I am friggin embarassed to be a Bills fan!
BillsGuyInMalta Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Seemed like this was an inevitability...oh well, now they move on. Stoking things - could the Bills be thinking about packaging and moving up? I'd hope not, they need as many picks as they can get. At this point, use the #11 on Andre Smith or Oher, use 28 on Pettigrew if he's there or the best DE available (Johnson, Brown, Ayers, etc).
Avalanche Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 At least he's gone. He did not want to play in Buffalo. It will be interesting to see what kind of contract the Eagles give him. But the front office just got burned big time by the Eagles.
VJ91 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afceast/0-7-83/...for-Peters.html Well, the Bills actually did better then I thought they would. They actually got the second of Philly's first round picks in next weeks' draft and a fourth rounder. Since they were really just trying to dump his Peters and his salary demands, I thought for sure they would not even get either first round pick from the Eagles this season. So now Langston Walker can officially mover back over to the left side for good, and the Bills can draft a kid to compete for the starting right tackle spot. I wonder how warm and fuzzy Trent Edwards is feeling about this decision to save money?? Next, I can't wait to see what the Eagles sign him for. Anybody want to bet that he will get his 11 Million per season that so many die hard fans out here think he doesn't deserve??
BillsGuyInMalta Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 This is the first day in my 33 years of life I can honestly say I am friggin embarassed to be a Bills fan! Please. THIS is the day you are humiliated? Not the countless on the field mishaps or flops?
