PIZ Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Steve Wyche has him going #12 to Denver: NFL Network Mock I also read somewhere that Gil Brandt says he is a lock to go top 10. How does this effect the Bills, if at all? Could they be looking at him at #11? Why just because he is a big DE, is he destined to be in a 3-4?

ans4e64 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 He isn't "destined" to be in a 3-4, but given how many teams are now playing that defense, along with the fact that a 4-3 end's primary purpose is rushing the passer, it looks like the 3-4 is where he's going to end up.

Because in a 3-4 you aren't expected to get to the QB as much as in a 4-3. You are expected to anchor your position, hopefully take up two linemen a la Richard Seymour, and making it easier for the rushing LB to get in and holding your own against the run. I've heard speculation of him going to Green Bay at #9 and Denver at #12.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Yep, he is a 3-4 DE Actually he projects as a 3-4 end. In college he played in a 4-3.

billybob Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Buffalo rotates it's DL, Tyson Jackson could rotate in LE on run downs and move inside on pass downs
