I have no clue. I think it was a parking structure for a hotel so I guess that's just tacked on to the 14% hotel room tax. Glad I don't have to stay in a hotel here anymore.

California law is positively bizarre - pay taxes above California if you do any business out of state?

 

IF they are going to tax online then they should just make it a national tax same in all states, give collectors a percentage and if you live in a state with no sales tax buy it in a retail store locally instead.

They already try to tax it in Virginia. Certain sites will automatically add it in if you're shipping it to VA.
