Jeffery Lester Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Dante Whitner has done nothing to impress me so far as a Bill. I thought Ko Simpson clearly outplayed him as Rookies. I wonder if that ankle injury slowed him way down. And now the man gets pinched. Not worth the 8th pick as I see it.
Lurker Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Dante Whitner has done nothing to impress me so far as a Bill. Boy, we're glad you got that off your chest...

silvermike Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 I thought Ko Simpson clearly outplayed him as Rookies. Is it still 2006? I'm pretty hungover.
thebug Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Is it still 2006? I'm pretty hungover. Awesome, that's 15 less pounds I have to lose.
Philly McButterpants Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 He's nowhere near a bust, and you should learn to spell his name. What he said . . .
Mr. WEO Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 He is not a bust. He is still widely read and studied, hundreds of years later.
GOBILLS78 Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 He is not a bust. He is still widely read and studied, hundreds of years later. Hmm, a literary joke on TSW? That's a reach, my friend. Good luck.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Sorry to quibble on the spelling but every once in awhile it becomes too much for me not to comment. Isn't it strange that someone can see a person's name or a word spelled correctly thousands of times and then go ahead and spell it incorrectly? DONTE Spell it 100 times on the blackboard.
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 He is not a bust. He is still widely read and studied, hundreds of years later. Yeah, Inferno is pretty important, but how many interceptions does he have?
lynchneedsfood Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 apparently he has questionable character too... http://www.clevelandleader.com/node/9672 he was arrested for aggravated disorderly conduct and resisting police... what the hell is going on at one bills drive - coach needs to put some fire down there @**

ColdBlueNorth Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 He's nowhere near a bust, and you should learn to spell his name. I agree. I think that Whitner is a heck of a player that the organization has asked to fill a lot of holes and to play different roles in the defensive secondary. The fact that he has done so in such a young career is nothing short of amazing. I believe folks remember him getting run over by Sammy Morris last year, but forget that he was toughing it out playing with a recently separated shoulder. A gutsy kid who should continue to improve, and it is too bad that he had a run in with the fuzz this off season. That was out of character for him.
JPicc2114 Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Good stuff dude...Whats your opinion of Jim Kelly as a QB? That Jim Kelley was a great quarterback
Peter Griffin Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Donte Whiffner is a mini-bust: a solid starter but not what you'd like from the 8th overall pick. See "Michael Huff" for a bust.
