murra Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Please keep mocking us. Please. haha... why are you pretending like we don't mock them? It's hard not to. Your entire post is mocking in nature. The thing that is starting to upset me more and more is that this nation's political spectrum has turned into a dichotomous of hate and love on every single item, and this partisanship has truly made us bitter people. I think that it's almost impossible for us to move forward in argument because the people we are trying to talk to try and assume that we're dumb because their perception of a conservative is a republican, and their perception of a republican is a southerner, and their perception of a southerner is Forrest Gump.

You're seeing this divide in the country for one primary reason: people who believe in personal accountability and responsibility don't appreciate having to give up their efforts and money for people who believe in handing out government entitlements, and people who want and expect entitlements don't understand why the "rich" won't give it up because they have so much more. There were a lot of great signs out yesterday, but one of my favorites was "Don't spread my wealth. Spread my work ethic."
Kelly the Dog Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 There were a lot of great signs out yesterday, but one of my favorites was "Don't spread my wealth. Spread my work ethic." I liked "The American Taxpayers are The Jews For Obama's Ovens". That was nice.
IDBillzFan Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I liked "The American Taxpayers are The Jews For Obama's Ovens". That was nice. You're gonna get those idiots whenever crowds gather. I guess Olberman will probably lead with that one tonight with his World's Worst Person segment.

drnykterstein Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Is that you? Because his logic was as clouded as yours tends to be. Uhm... right. Do tell, how else are we supposed to fix the economy if the government isn't going to do some spending? Obama spoke very well the same logic I use. So what is wrong with the logic here, other than the fact that you just don't like people named Barack.. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26315908/vp/30217968#30217968 Here's another gem. These are your kinfolk Wacka, the people who you agree with. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/16/1...r_n_187554.html http://www.flickr.com/photos/irees/3445828...57616746706005/

Bad Lieutenant Posted April 17, 2009 Author Posted April 17, 2009 And look, I get it. You want to mock the protesters. It's okay. But try to do it in an informed manner. I met a lot of Libertarians and Democrats yesterday. Many more than I ever expected. Just refer to the Protesters as stupid. You're kidding- YOU went to a Tea Bagging event? That doesn't sound like something that a guy who posts right wing talking points round the clock on a Buffalo Bills message board would be into. I'm shocked! But seriously, I can only imagine the hog heaven you must have found yourself in yesterday, being surrounded by the unwashed masses who share the same uniformed, paranoid worldview as you. How did it feel to actually be able to bounce your kooky views off of a live human being for once? I can picture it now-you're lurking in the background while sheepishly eavesdropping on your fellow kooks in an attempt to find an opportunity to crowbar yourself into a conversation so you can share some of your amazing zingers. Finally you make eye contact with a man wearing Tea Bag earrings and you make your move- "I couldn't help overhearing you conversation about whether Obama is a Socialist, Stalinist, Fascist or a Communist and I just want to interject with a hilarious riff I wrote on a Buffalo Bills message board last week...................."
erynthered Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Watch the Video I posted above. Respond to Obama. Sorry no. Spending yourself out of a recession has no history of success. Tell me my Bills fan friend, how do you think this is going to work out? Please include all the repercussions, and consequences with the rampant spending that these idiots in congress seem to think will once again serve us as the leading nation in this world, much less than to bring us to any stability in our economic times, K?

Sure... FDR and the New Deal. These were the principles he used.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keynesian_economics This brought up both the GDP and the unemployment rate... http://www.ourfuture.org/blog-entry/200902...fdr-failed-myth Also, I want you to ask yourself, what is the greatest time period for economic growth in our last 100 or so years. I tend to think the 50's. Look at the top tier tax rates in the 50's - http://www.truthandpolitics.org/top-rates.php (then scroll up to 1931, and down to the most recent year - 2003) Your response to Obama really lacked in any substantial data. It did however carry with it a lot of opinion and personal philosophy.

Please include all the repercussions, and consequences with the rampant spending that these idiots in congress seem to think will once again serve us as the leading nation in this world, much less than to bring us to any stability in our economic times, K? I have heard NUMEROUS people from all kinds of backgrounds say things like the reason spending didn't work during FDR's time and in Japan and in other instances was because they cut it off too early or didn't SPEND ENOUGH. Opponents to the strategy of spending your way out of the problem are using numerous examples which may very well be contrary to their own point. I don't know if spending a lot is going to work, or if it's the best way, and I would gather that neither do you. I don't know if anyone anywhere knows what is going to happen and whether it is going to work or not, there are a lot of different theories and some very serious economists think all the spending Obama has agreed to is not going to be enough. We're just going to have to see.

If inflation follows (or hyperinflation), as it has in the past with these situation, were !@#$. I hope it doesn't.
drnykterstein Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I wasn't posting links for the shear numbers. I was posting them for the content. You seem to think that more links = more right. Whatever so there a debate. Do all of those links talk about Al Gore also? Ok, you still never responded to Obama, also you did not address the top tier tax rates issue. Edit: So the one I did read.. said the Great Depression is an example of why Keynesian Economics failure. Which discredits that article right away, showing they know nothing of Calvin Coolidge and his policies.
