rackemrack Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 The wr250x is impossible to find for a test ride down here on the South Island.I'd probably still stick with the off-road version though... there's just too much dirt to explore down here. My brother is trying to talk me into getting the Kawasaki KLX250s. He says it's a much better bang for the buck. any thoughts? i don't know about the kawasaki, i don't think i've even seen one in person so i don't know much about them. the yamaha is sweet though, its fuel injected.
nuklz2594 Posted April 12, 2009 Author Posted April 12, 2009 My MOS was 11H, yes I was an infantry grunt. My wife was in the Army and was a helicopter mechanic. My son is in the USAF in Pensacola. Florida weather is oppressive, but the winter months are awesome. We have been here a year and she not been able to ride her bike only 10 times. I am used to the douche bags that post mean spirited things. They need to get laid or something.

Aug & Sept are the only months the weather is oppressive to me.
nuklz2594 Posted April 12, 2009 Author Posted April 12, 2009 I lived in Petaluma for a bit. Bodega Bay and Santa Rosa are really nice.
Kipers Hair Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Lemme be the first to say who cares and next time please post something relevant Steve From Atlanta = a-shole
Spiderweb Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Lemme be the first to say who cares and next time please post something relevant You give people with the name "Steve" a bad name. ....another warrior with a keyboard....jeez. "nuklz..." Thanks for the service.
Gordio Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Take this for what it is worth & I usually do not post this kind of stuff because all you get is mocked out & ridiculed for it, but my one friend works at ESPN & he has told me that several of the NFL analysts have told him that Lynch is just a bad seed & thug, & he is a time bomb waiting to explode. One analyst(I wont mentioned his name) told him that the coaches at Cal could not wait until Lynch left school because they never knew what was going to happen next. He said the coaches & administration at Cal covered up alot of stuff that Lynch supposedly got into in his time at berkley.

Sounds like those analysts are just jumping on the easy end of a story... easier to say that he's a thug, etc., etc. instead of saying he's a good kid who did something stupid. We all know Lynch has been a good team player with the Bills, a fun loving kid with the fans and even opposing teams players. If he was such a bad seed, one would think that he would have more on and off the field problems now and no one would be just waiting for him to explode.

Could be & I certainly do not take their word as the gospel. One thing though is he has had 2 runins with the laws going into his third year here. It was also reported in the news at the time of the hit & run that the Hamburgh & Orchard park police have had some incidents with Lynch that have not been reported. Hope I am wrong but I tend to think that my friends coworkers at ESPN are probably more right then wrong on this one.

Leonidas Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 The FL economy is creating major home BUYING opportunities down there for people like me! If you're willing to catch the falling knife...
Gordio Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Maybe I am being more of a homer on this... just not buying it yet. Fair enough & for the record I hope your right. Lynch is a good young back. Hopefully he could stay out of trouble going forward.

That's what we can all hope for. The kids enthusiasm, energy and love for the game is amazing and fun to watch. It's going to suck not having him in there for three games.

The kid has talent, but he is also from the mean streets of Oakland....Unless someone pushes the right buttons, he is destined to be a great "what if" story from the Bills past...
Hazed and Amuzed Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Lemme be the first to say who cares and next time please post something relevant Yeah like the gems you've started: "Best Buffalo PIZZA" or "Maybe Dick Jauron Really IS the Grim Reaper" Real relevant. BTW How many years of military service do you have? I'm guessing none.

Exactly - for better or worse, he is a Bill, and he is extremely talented, so let's give him the benefit of the doubt and hope these are learning experiences that help him mature. Personally, the first infraction did not really bother me that much - that was not a "thug" infraction. So in my book, he's got one bad strike against him, and I'm not going to write him off for that. What he does with himself from here on is what matters most.
manateefan Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 The weather is oppressive at times, but shoveling snow is not an option anymore. No, but Hurricane season lasts from June unil November. You can go out and play in snowstorm, Hurricane, not so much. Since I have lived in Florida I have not experienced a hurricane (almost 15 years). Yes, we have had some tropical storms. I lived through blizzards in the Buffalo area (with tropical storm and hurricane strength winds). And I have lived through 45 mph or higher winds in Buffalo (45 being the beginning level of tropical storms). My husband and I owned a tavern and in the early nineties the winds got up to 75 mph (hurricane strength). Knocked a tree into our building which cost us over $700 to remove. Thankfully it didn't damage anything. Every area in the country has weather problems, it just comes down to what you are willing to live with. At least with a hurricane you get advance warning. With tornadoes the warning is very minimal.
Astrobot Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 I, for one, am glad nuklz posted his demographics. I also grew up in Pittsford. Astro
nuklz2594 Posted April 14, 2009 Author Posted April 14, 2009 We had hurricane Fay this past year and it wasn't the wind that nailed people -it was the immense amounts of rain. I moved to Maine -Uncle Sam sent me there, and the snow and wind were something to behold. Lived about 30 minutes from Mt. Washington in New Hampshire. I hear Pittsford has changed alot. I used to work at Burdett's and go Hicks and McCarthy's. Is Bill Wahl's still there and everyone's favorite dive-Thirsty's? Not a huge fan of Florida, but permanent injuries from the military make cold weather living brutal. It is surprising how many people I have met here from upstate NY and Maine since I have been here.
