Michael Abromowitz's mock:

11. Buffalo Bills - Robert Ayers, DE, Tennessee

With Brandon Pettigrew's poor 40 time, it is just more reason for the Bills not to reach for a tight end at 11. Past high first round tight ends have not been the game changers teams thought they were going to be. A solid tight end will be available in the 2nd or 3rd round. Ayers may win the award for biggest climber. Once considered a 2nd-3rd round draft pick, Ayers has climbed the boards after an impressive Senior Bowl and Combine. Ayers may now be the best pure 4-3 defensive end in this draft. The Bills have had struggles at defensive end creating a pass rush and despite only have 3 sacks his senior season, he seems to have the ability. Also brings versatility where he can play tackle and outside linebacker.

42. Buffalo Bills - Jared Cook, TE, South Carolina

The Bills finally get their tight end. With the addition of T.O. and Cook, Trent Edwards would have some weapons to throw to in addition to Lee Evans and James Hardy.

75. Buffalo Bills - Herman Johnson, G, LSU

The Bills waived Derrick Dockery and get the monstrous Johnson to add depth in the interior.

110. Buffalo Bills - Ricky Jean-Francois, DT, LSU

The Bills have some holes in their interior defensive line. John McCargo has been a major bust and so bad the Bills couldn't even trade him cause he failed a physical.

147. Buffalo Bills - Derek Pegues, FS, Mississippi St.

183. Buffalo Bills - Kevin Ellison, OLB, USC

219. Buffalo Bills - Worrell Williams, ILB, California

11. Buffalo Bills - Andre Smith, OT, Alabama

The team's commitment to quarterback Trent Edwards will be put to the test in the highly unlikely scenario of both quarterbacks lasting this long. In reality trades will be struck and BOTH might be gone because teams get impatient. Panic is a terrible disease and it strikes bad general managers often. The big splash of Terrell Owens joining the newly anointed "North America's Team" has set in, I think. The hurricane has only just begun. Offensively the big needs are on the line and at tight end. Because Oklahoma State's Brandon Pettigrew is not a field-stretching burner there is (as I have suspected all along) no way he gets drafted this high. This franchise more than most is willing to reach (Whitner and McCargo come to mind) which opens up the options. Their willingness to bring in known cancer TO, even for just one season, leads me to believe that if a talented tackle with tumbling stock is on the board they could bite. Andre was once in the mix for the top spot overall. After his bizarre behavior at the NFL combine and unimpressive pro day opinions vary about where he will fall. The reality is that a team needing offensive line help can either settle for a lesser talent or try to mold a potentially really good player. What kind of trouble can he get into playing in Buffalo?

42. Buffalo Bills - Evander Hood, DT, Missouri

Marcus Stroud was a tremendous signing. Now they need to pair him up with a solid player to really defend the run in earnest.

75. Buffalo Bills - David Veikune, DE/OLB, Hawaii

Needless to say he is a straight defensive end in their 4-3. Buffalo desperately needs to generate a pass rush and fans should be thrilled if in fact they build their team through the lines.

106. Buffalo Bills - Travis Beckum, TE, Wisconsin

It will be hard for Trent Edwards to consider throwing to anyone else with Terrell Owens screaming in his ear, but the Bills have been looking for an impact tight end for a while. The unfortunate Everett injury situation didn't help. Beckum is an intriguing prospect who has seen his stock go on a roller coaster and is coming off an injury. The draft is at times about taking chances and he is used to playing in cold weather. You don't have to be Al Roker to know it's chilly in Buffalo.

11. Buffalo Bills – Everette Brown, OLB, Florida State

They have two glaring needs. One at TE, one at some sort of pass rushing spot. Brown is a solid value here at 11 although he could go a little higher come the end of the month. May be a bit overrated as I still think he is very raw. However, with some coaching and some time to cut loose and just play, he will learn quickly. Could become a consistent 10 sack a season guy after a couple years of fine-tuning.

Gregory Cox gets a Gold Star......the rest get an F (except maybe for the dude who picked Everette Brown but he put forth minimal effort with just doing the first round).
