Ramius Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 http://www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci_12104180 Marshall said he spoke to quarterback Kyle Orton on the phone, and, "We're excited to have him and it will be fun playing with him. He said he's happy to play with all of us — Eddie Royal, Tony Scheffler, Daniel Graham, Selvin Young — he named all of us." Playing with Kyle Orton is fun? I guess it could be fun...in the same way that a root canal and a colonoscopy is fun.
Christopher Capolupo Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 I don't think anyone would say that Kyle Orton is a top 5 quarterback, but I will say he is a good game manager. Marshall is just saying pleasant comments about a new teammate, nothing wrong with that. Unless you were referring to the other kind of playing, then he as well as I need the drugs.
Lt. Dan's Revenge Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Have fun, Rubes! Any interesting updates on the scene when you get back from the trip would be excellent. http://www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci_12104180 Playing with Kyle Orton is fun? It's much more likely that Marshall put his hand through another TV in reaction to finding out that he was going to be catching balls from noodle-arm Orton instead of Cutler in a couple months.

Though he doesn't have the arm strength of Cutler, I don't think he's got a noodle arm either. That's reserved for QB's like Pennington. Watch this pass to Mark Bradley. He's about to get nailed and is falling away from the throw. The throw to Muhsin Muhammad is a pretty decent strike as well. Far from a noodle arm IMO. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrAJNQ_e8Jk

Don't think Orton is that bad at all. Kinda like his attitude also.

C.Biscuit97 Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 I agree, thus far I think he has shown more than Trent. Dude your hate for Trent is getting so old. Why haven't you moved on to become a fan of the team that your hero Losman is on? Whoops!!!! But to address another brain dead comment from the head of the Losman fanclub, Orton had an amazing 9 td to 13 ints ratio in his first 2 seasons. TE has a 12 td to 11 int ratio through 2 seasons. But another well-thought out post. I will say I don't think Orton isn't that bad of a QB. He had a 18 to 12 td/ int ratio (in his 4th season) playing with crap at receiver. I know this is crazy but I won't be that surprised if Orton puts up better stats than Cutler this season.
C.Biscuit97 Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 ya, you're right. Winning is so boring But Cutler puts up monster fantasy #s. Fantasy football> actually winning NFL games

Ramius Posted April 9, 2009 Author Posted April 9, 2009 Kyle Orton has never completed more than 58% of his passes.
