2020 Our Year For Sure Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 If I had to choose between Jackson and Lynch, it'd be Jackson. Both are great players.

Cotton Fitzsimmons Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 It is clear that JBlack23's friend is misguided. Clearly Fast Freddie Jackson is up to the task. He hits the hole with a force that harkens back to a day when Ye Ole' Cotton participated in an amateur porn squad. Game day would come, and Ye Ole' Cotton would be doin his thang just like Freddie Jackson be doin, and all the fans would gather 'round chanting "bust that nut! bust that nut!"

BEeEassyy Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 what the bills need to do, is make Jackson happy with a new contract and get his a$$ out on that field! get it done
Jamie Nails Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 its clear that jblack is 13 years old. And yet I still read ever ridiculous post made on this board.

But he might as well go the Jason Peters route and hold out, since the Bills have no other viable options this late into free agency, for getting through the first games at running back. God forbid the Bills would have been smart, and offered Jackson a nice 4 year deal on tender day, that would have made him happy and excited to take on this important challange to start the 2009 season. Oh no, not the Bills - how could they justify that cost??

I think that Fred will be Takin care by this Bills this offseason, did anyone see the Stroud contract extention coming? I am quite certain that Fred will be our opening day running back, (Now that Marshawn is suspended). I would even venture to guess he will be happy to be there.
thewildrabbit Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 More then likely Lynch will appeal his suspension and then get it reduced to one or two games. Last season Brandon Marshall had a 3 game suspension and appealed it and had it reduced to one game. In any event, the Bills need to buck up the money for Freddy, He played as well as Marshawn did and should be paid close to him IMO
prissythecat Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 If I had to choose between Jackson and Lynch, it'd be Jackson. Both are great players. I disagree. Jackson cannot carry the Bills. He is at his best coming in to spell the primary running back because he provides a good change of pace. But he is not someone that the team can rely on to consistently pound the ball. There is a reason why the coaches use Lynch as the main ball carrier. A pretty decent summary from www2.sportsnet.ca on Jackson is as follows: Scouting Report Assets Very fast. Surprises defenders in the open field with his sudden burst. Great hands and receiving skills. Runs with determination and will break some tackles. Flaws An old prospect who spent time knocking around indoor leagues and Europe. Runs upright and will take too many hits. More of a change-up runner than a guy who can handle 20 carries from the I-formation. Career potential Excellent role player.
