Astrobot Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Does a trade with the Jets for their #17 and #76 improve our team more than it helps their team? 17 Buffalo Brian Cushing OLB43 USC 42 Buffalo Jared Cook TE South Carolina 75 Buffalo Mitch King DE43 Iowa 76 Buffalo Herman Johnson OG LSU 110 Buffalo Ricky Jean-Francois DT43 LSU 11 NY Jets Matthew Stafford QB Georgia 52 NY Jets Jamon Meredith OT South Carolina 115 NY Jets Jarett Dillard WRF Rice
DasNootz Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 I'm not interested in helping them get a QB... and I want to avoid Cushing like the plague.
Maddog69 Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 I would be happy with this draft scenario, although I would be surpirsed we traded with the Jets. But I would rather get a OG or C in Rd2 and trade a 3rd for Scheffler. I still hope the Bills sign atleast one more veteran OL either way.
atlbillsfan1975 Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 no never. that has bad karma written all over it. Stafford will become the next To Brady if the Bills do this. The FO would not take the chance of being the laughing stock of the league. Could you imagine the crap the would put up with for years.
Nightcrawler Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 I'm not sold on Jared Cook. Like others who made comments, I believe a C/G in round #2 is more important if we really did go with a linebacker in Round 1. I have no problem with Cushing at #17 or #11. He would fit our defense well, but I think Freddy Keiaho, the free agent who visited Bills camp would be a solid addition in free agency. I'm not sure if these discussions are done, or if Buffalo is waiting closer to the draft in hopes of getting Keiaho on the cheap. Mitch King will be a talented player and a solid pickup in a 3rd round, but I'd still rather get OL/DL with the 1st two picks.
