Tortured Soul Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Some have him going in the top 10, actually. Such as Kiper and McShay. They have him ranked 8th and 6th. I've always thought he should be our pick. What's happened to change my mind?
LynchMob23 Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I don't question any of that, and think you may be spot-on with your analysis of how Maybin might best help the Bills. But, I have to ask the question, "do you draft at guy at #11 who you have to convert to a position he hasn't played?" Touche sir....but, if we put him at Will, he can be the guy that the plays are spilled to. And, as a PSU alum, the one thing we don't have to worry about is him taking the right angle and tackling correctly when he gets there.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted April 7, 2009 Author Posted April 7, 2009 Good point. I can see some lableing Maybin as a 1 year wonder in college. And I dont think he would adapt well to DE at least not right away. I would consider him only if Brown, Orakpo,Raji are off the board.
Bufcomments Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 The more I think about it I would not draft Maybin in the 11 spot I like Tyson Jackson at this point At #11 than I do Maybin even though he is not as quick as Maybin he would be an upgrade over Kelsey Maybin might be this years Vernon Goldston I am starting to think that the Bills will trade down and add a pick Maybe they will take Pettigrew if this happens But If Brown slips to the Bills (if they get lucky) they have to take him I would not be mad if they pick an OLineman with the first pick All depends how the Jason Peters saga pans out
Buffaloed in Pa Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 None of the tackles Maybin went against are first round material. And yes he was shut down against some pretty average ones at that.
