stuckincincy Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 (edited) LOL You'll get me with your #34. I just know it... BTW - I heard on the radio here yesterday, that Mike Brown is giddy about Knowshon Moreno. EDIT: Also with your comp pick in the 3rd... Edited April 8, 2009 by stuckincincy Quote
stuckincincy Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 R., Nice pick for NYJ, after they let Coles walk. I would have taken him over Crabtree - because of the foot injury. Quote
R. Rich Posted April 8, 2009 Author Posted April 8, 2009 here waiting with Tampa'a first pick... You're on. Quote
Bill from NYC Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 So there's only three people 'round today, eh? Make it 4. Quote
R. Rich Posted April 8, 2009 Author Posted April 8, 2009 William, please keep the commentary on the draft in this thread. It makes it easier to go through the actual draft thread if there's nothing but picks in it. Quote
Ramius Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Make it 4. Re: Jenkins, Denver had initially taken Clay Matthews. With that, there was no one left on the D front 7 to help out Tampa, but they do need help at CB. They've got some good young safeties, but They have Talib and Barber at CB and thats it. I would have considered taking Maclin at 19, but no way in hell i was taking Harvin then. TB has no need for a RB since they signed Ward, and no need for a TE with Winslow. I also am not completely sold on Josh Freeman, and i think Josh Johnson will get a real shot to see what he can do. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see him under center towards the end of the season for the Buccs. Quote
R. Rich Posted April 8, 2009 Author Posted April 8, 2009 I pulled back on the Matthews thingy for Denver, 'cause they had already taken Maybin w/ their first pick. They need a corner badly, and Jenkins also gives them the flexibility to consider him for safety, where they really need help. Quote
R. Rich Posted April 8, 2009 Author Posted April 8, 2009 So much for Peters going to the Eagles! That's okay. We're going to draft 7 O linemen and be right back in the Super Bowl mix, KD. Quote
stuckincincy Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 That's okay. We're going to draft 7 O linemen and be right back in the Super Bowl mix, KD. Stacey Andrews...Andre Smith...PHI is reloading the OL. Quote
KD in CA Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Nice getting No-shon there. Lotta teams gonna regret passing on him. Quote
clumping platelets Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 I consider that a luxury for the Colts.........they have greater needs Quote
stuckincincy Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 I consider that a luxury for the Colts.........they have greater needs Consider the PR hype. There's no business like show business. And I think it's a pretty good choice - rule after rule in the past several years say- Thou Shalt Not Hit A Ball Carrier Too Hard. Quote
In space no one can hear Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Nice getting No-shon there. Lotta teams gonna regret passing on him. Agreed. Moreno is a beast and has All-Pro potential IMHO. I think there are a few teams that might be lurking in the weeds for him. Taking into consideration Moreno's competitiveness and multi-purpose ability- I think New England might be a landing spot for him. I'd be surprised if they passed on him with their first round pick. R. Rich Posted April 8, 2009 Author Posted April 8, 2009 Moreno has the talent to be a real stud in the pros. Yeah, they could've used a MLB or DT, but would you take one @ their spot? They can probably get either w/ their pick in Round 2. Quote
R. Rich Posted April 8, 2009 Author Posted April 8, 2009 Maybe the Giants are working on a trade??? Quote
