Glass To The Arson Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Round 1 (11): Aaron Maybin, DE/OLB, Penn State or Tyson Jackson, DE, LSU Both are high motor machines that can collapse the pocket - which the Bills need! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-lFOTLQg7M http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5MeTrQ124Q Round 2 (41) : Marcus Freeman, OLB, Ohio State OR Patrick Chung, SS, Oregon It could be either one of the best cover 2 LBs coming out of college, or to me...the best SS in the draft http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBMabHxe7kc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_37qMvwSMwo Round 3 (75): Chase Coffman, TE, Missouri Agile pass catching monster - I WOULD LOVE THIS PICK Round 4 (110): Kraig Urbik, G, Wisconsin A top 5 guard in the 2009 draft Round 5 (147): Antone Smith, RB, Florida State Battle with Omon This is assuming we do not get Tony Scheffler and we resign Jason Peters
Glass To The Arson Posted April 6, 2009 Author Posted April 6, 2009 Some of the prospects might have been taken early... But this is based on most talent and what we need...not value.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 I've given my opinion on most of the players you mention. I haven't given much thought to Marcus Freeman the OSU linebacker. The 2nd round seems a bit high to me although I admit I've never specifically watched him when viewing OSU games. Nor did he reach out from the television and grab me. In the Youtube stuff I would say he looks a hair slow and there's not too much to go by as far as his coverage skills go, in man or zone. He looks like a good all-around linebacker with nice vision but I'd be concerned putting him in our scheme which puts a premium on pass coverage. I'm guessing the pick at #42 is too high for this guy or for Chung.
Bufcomments Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Well at least u agree with me on Tyson Jackson/Maybin as i said in an earlier post today I think it comes down to those 2 in the first round If Jason Peters gets traded its a whole new ball game though I dont know about a LB in the second If we dont get Schefter from Denver I think we go TE in the second round
Lofton80 Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 After reading the attached report from the attached site I have doubts on Maybin and how he fits Jauron's scheme. I agree with the poster who mentioned Tyson Jackson, he is an NFL sized DE. http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/2009/0...e-aaron-maybin/
Hyphe23 Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Here is my entertaining draft: Trade Peters to Philly for 20th overall and 85th overall Trade 85th overall and Roscoe for Brian Waters 11th - Michael Oher - OT - Ole Miss 20th - Brandon Pettigrew - TE - Oklahoma St. 42nd - Connor Barwin - DE - Cincinnati 75th - Marcus Freeman - OLB - Ohio St. 110th - Kraig Urbik - G - Wisconsin 147th - Emanuel Cook - FS/SS - South Carolina 183rd - Tony Fiammetta - FB - Syracuse 220th - Antonio Dixon - DT - Miami The other thing that could be interesting is taking DE at 11 and Eben Britton at 20.
Fewell733 Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 I actually don't mind this draft. I like Chung and think we could use him in our defense. I don't know anything about the running back. I'd be pretty shocked by Tyson Jackson, but think he's a fine player that we could find good use for.

I would like this to happen
Estro Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Connor Barwin is a mid round prospect. No way i want the Bills to spend a high 2nd round draft choice on that guy.

If all of the pundits have him ranked in the second, and you have him as a midround guy, and he goes in the second round, perhaps it is you who has mis-ranked the guy. He's going to go in the second.
