freedom2528 Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 I bet we could get him cheap from the Rams, when he was with the Dolphins he was able to stretch thier field and was quite productive. This would help our TE postion and then we would n't have to waste a high draft pick. Any thoughts.
BuffOrange Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 My thought is that there's no such thing as wasting a 6th round pick, which is about where you can get a stiff equivalent to McMichael.

ans4e64 Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 what has he really done since leaving the fins? He's had absolutely no one around him to do anything. Bulger has been hurt, or just played very poorly, and Steven Jackson has been injured, too. That team has been in complete dissaray since he's been there, with no consistent players around him. Is there a chance that he's not the player he once was? Sure. But is it also possible that he can be, or still is capable at producing at a high level? I think it exists.
Tim Anderson's Lunch Pail Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 I don't see why the Rams would trade him only two years after signing a very reasonable contract.
Cynical Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Isn't this same McMichael that had a case of the dropsies while playing in Miami? IIRC, Dolphin fans were not upset when he left.
WellDressed Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 what has he really done since leaving the fins? Beat his wife some.
freedom2528 Posted April 4, 2009 Author Posted April 4, 2009 Beat his wife some. He can get treatment for the domestic violence issues, plenty in Buffalo and around the world. i would believe he could make a difference in Buffalo. This would be a cheap pick up.

DazedandConfused Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 what has he really done since leaving the fins? Part of his lack of production is that the Rams O approach made virtually zero use of the TE as a receiver. Historically the Rams TE was really a 6th blocker in what was the greatest offensive use of the TE who really only caught one of two passes a year for the Rams. McMichael improved this TE output but not by much as one guy no matter how talented did (or should) dictate an entire offensive approach.
