markghbelobils Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Plaxico Burress-WR-Giants Apr. 3 - 3:21 pm et Giants released Plaxico Burress. wooooow
ans4e64 Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 He probably won't even be available to play this year.
NyQuil Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Wow...the last weeks of the season and play offs show how bad we need a playmaking WR.
MattyT Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Wow...the last weeks of the season and play offs show how bad we need a playmaking WR. Yeah. I really wish the front office would have stepped up and gotten us one.

BucksNBills Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Wow...the last weeks of the season and play offs show how bad we need a playmaking WR. Haha, we get TO and now you want Plax?
Mr. WEO Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Plaxico Burress-WR-Giants Apr. 3 - 3:21 pm et Giants released Plaxico Burress. wooooow Why is this surprising? The guy is going to jail.
ans4e64 Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Why is this surprising? The guy is going to jail. And then will be suspended by Goodell when he "returns."
KD in CA Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Wow...the last weeks of the season and play offs show how bad we need a playmaking WR. Yup. I've thought all along they would make a play for Boldin. Why is this surprising? The guy is going to jail. I'm not so sure about that anymore. NY paper are reporting they are working on a plea deal. Starting to smell like a rehab and probation and talk to kids in school about guns type of deal.
ans4e64 Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 No Plaxico, No Amani Toomer, No Jeremy Shockey, No Derrick Ward. If that isn't a team desperate for playmakers, I don't know what is.

Yes they are working on it, but the DA has been saying that any plea deal must include jail time.
ans4e64 Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Yes they are working on it, but the DA has been saying that any plea deal must include jail time. And, I doubt the Giants would release him if there were even the slightest chance he wasn't going to jail.
BucksNBills Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Read my sig. You're a dork Giants fan posting on a Bills fan site
VOR Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 So what, he'll do 90 days of jail time? He'd still be ready for the start of the season, to serve his 2-4 game suspension.
NyQuil Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 You're a dork Giants fan posting on a Bills fan site I have Bills season tickets.
KD in CA Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Yes they are working on it, but the DA has been saying that any plea deal must include jail time. Ahhh. That was always my assumption given the law and the ramifications for the city trying to enforce it going forward should Plax get no time, but I've become more skeptical over time. I could also see a six month sentence that starts right after the season. Stallworth on the other hand is screwed. His career is over. I have Bills season tickets. Than you're a really dorky Giants fan!
thewildrabbit Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Cut TO and sign Plax As I mentioned in other threads, Plaxico Burress is going to Jail no question about it,the only factor remaining is for how long. That Felony gun possession charge carries a mandatory 3 year jail sentence, if Plax is lucky he somehow might get a reduced sentence to one year...maybe. The fact the NY Giants released him indicates to me that he will not get a reduced sentence. What is interesting is,even if you have a NY State pistol permit your not allowed to carry inside NY city unless you get a special permit, which is rare.
