The Big Cat Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I'm not sure anybody opposes the enaction of the goodwill sparked by the 9/11 tragedy. And Glenn Beck's not insane for wanting a return to that sort kinship. He is, however, insane, or at least setting his bar frightfully low if he thinks people actually bought his little water works stunt. He's also stirring disdain for a faceless, nameless, up-for-interpretation enemy. To me, that's irresponsible "journalism" mixed with piss poor acting. You know who else acts this way? The guy that walks around the Loop with a mega-phone wearing a sandwhich board warning against the Russian plot to invade America. In my opinion, the only thing that seperates his insanity from Glenn's is mass distribution.
IDBillzFan Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Most people would, you know, actually do a 2 second Google search or actually watch the show before making this statement. http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-r...chle-steps-down http://blogs.abcnews.com/thenote/2009/01/w...geithner-n.html I guess it doesn't embarrass you to make sweeping comments on things that you know absolutely nothing about. Gee, Lieutenant, given how quick you are to contribute little more than correcting people's grammar, you'd have thunk maybe even you and your tremendous grasp of the obvious would be able to understand how a blog from ABC News has nothing to do with Colbert mocking the president for now being the new boss of a car company that should have been pushed into bankruptcy mohths ago. Or Colbert mocking the government's new car warranty program. Or Colbert mocking the very concept that a guy who cheated on his own taxes is the president's perfect pick to be the country's treasury secretary. But thanks for the lesson. When it comes to commenting on things you know absolutely nothing about, you remain the champion of all time.

RE: the highlighted part, he has said numorus times he's not a journalist. Just an FYI.

Awww poor baby, I'm sorry I put your cute little talking point that Colbert only makes fun of Republicans to sleep. By the way, The Waggoner story broke the 29th-Colbert was on vacation until the 31st when he DID goof on the fact that Obama fired him. If he didn't delve deeply enough into this topic as you'd like then tune into Fox's 1/2 Hour News Hour.......actually you can't since it was canned after six months because, as you are proving over and over again, conservatives are unable to be intentionally funny.
Chef Jim Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Turn off TBD and get back to making those !@#$ing cold calls dirt bag!! Cold calls? Never made one and never will. What do you think I am, a !@#$ing car salesman?

Y'know, when I read a post like this, I'm somehow reminded of those chicks who sat in the woods crying because the trees were dying. I'm not sure why. Probably similarities in those empty, whiny wailing sounds. But thanks for the laugh. We conservatives don't need to be intentionally funny when the left provides all the unintentional humor. Could someone from the right please butcher some grammar so Bad Lieutenant has something else to contribute, please? My thanks in advance.

YellowLinesandArmadillos Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Glen Beck is one of the few sane people on TV. Oh Yeah@#$@#$! Hmmm, I have a nice room for you at St. Eve's... He has as much sanity as Kieth Olberman... there are few wires in both that are firing rapidly for no apparent reason.

You do realize of course, that Colbert makes much more fun of the Republicans in the clip you posted. Of course they poke fun at the Democrats a little.

Chef Jim Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 You're so full of shiit. Nope, not part of our M.O.
drnykterstein Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 I won't lie, the similarity between nazi's and conservative rhetoric has crossed my mind before... http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2009/4/3...ion-to-Fox-News
Cheeseburger_in_paradise Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 I won't lie, the similarity between nazi's and conservative rhetoric has crossed my mind before... http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2009/4/3...ion-to-Fox-News Funny, when the opposite would seem to be more true. NAZI stands for National SOCIALISTIC German Workers Party. The key idea here is about being SOCIALIST, which is not what conservatives believe in.
Adam Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 It's getting to be particularly comical now how the left has absolutely no one to pick on except the small segment of the media that disagrees with them. Limbaugh, Santelli, Beck. I don't know who Santelli is, but Beck and Limbaugh are not members of the media.
Cheeseburger_in_paradise Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 I don't know who Santelli is, but Beck and Limbaugh are not members of the media. Maybe you ment to say that they are not journalists. They are definitely part of the media. BTW, newspapers have opinion section since forever. They are part of the media.

All those people make a quick buck at the expense of the country they don't even give a ^%#%% about. But thats the American way, isn't it.
