WVUFootball29 Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 NFL.com did an article about the best brother tandems in the history of the NFL http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8...mp;confirm=true I thought I'd bring the list and the conversation here. Who do you think should have been on this list, who do you think is the best tandem? 10. Thomas and Julius Jones 9. Champ and Boss Bailey 8. Jamie and Darren Sharper 7. Randall and Sam Cunningham 6. Dale Carter and Jake Reed 5. William and Michael Dean Perry 4. Ronde and Tiki Barber 3. Shannon and Sterling Sharpe 2. Bruce and Clay Matthews 1. Peyton and Eli Manning Personally, I think the Bahr's Chris and Matt should have made this list. Two of the best placekickers of their day
bills44 Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 How about the Youngblood brothers? Lee Roy & Dewey Selmon?
In space no one can hear Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 How about the Youngblood brothers? Lee Roy & Dewey Selmon? The Selmons even had another brother, Lucious, who was drafted by the Patriots in the 16th round of the 1974 draft.
Lofton80 Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 The top 4 are all excellant. I loved the Matthews brothers. I think Merlin Olsen and his brother pretty good.

Cookiemonster Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Didn't Bob Golic have a brother in the NFL, I thought that I remeber him as being pretty decent, can't remeber his name though.

R. Rich Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I'd put Bruce and Clay Matthews @ the top of that list. One is a Hall of Famer and the other one should be.
KRC Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 What about the Nesser clan? Oh, that's right. They played before 1970, therefore it didn't happen. My bad.
R. Rich Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 What about the Nesser clan? Oh, that's right. They played before 1970, therefore it didn't happen. My bad. Nothing good happened before 1970.
Beerball Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Nothing good happened before 1970. I was born prior to 1970.
WVUFootball29 Posted April 1, 2009 Author Posted April 1, 2009 I was born prior to 1970. Furthering the evidence
BuffaloBill Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 aw, c'mon. what about the Schobel bros.? beat me to it
BuffaloBill Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I'd put Bruce and Clay Matthews @ the top of that list. One is a Hall of Famer and the other one should be. I agree but maybe qualify it a bit by putting them in a tie with the manning bro's. While it may be a stretch to see Eli getting there he and Peyton may be HOfers and had their dad not been stuck on a crap team he likely would have been.
