Leonidas Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Yes, Peters is known as an overproducer. As for comparing what he wants with what some kid got as the #1 or #2 pick in the draft---what is your point? The top pick is always going to get far more than they deserve and more than anyone else than at the same position----he is being paid the going rate for a top draft pick. There's nothing Peters can do about that. Yet he's tying his contract demands solely to Jake Long's over-inflated contract. Interesting...

Leonidas Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 you would never make it as a sports agent haha, that is true. Of course if I was representing the man then my entire argument would be different...

Alphadawg7 Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I see no reason to think he won't return to form. And as I have argued again and again (with people like Leonidas and others), will fans stop saying he had a TERRIBLE season!?! His season was subpar given his talent level, but stop making him out to be Chris Kelsay or Robert Royal. It is inaccurate and sounds ridiculous. You can make a pro bowl on name recognition, no doubt. But you can't make a pro bowl by being the worst player on your O-Line (as many people seem to be insinuating). Perhaps Walker had the better year, but when Peters gets his ass in gear he dominates. Maybe that isn't worth 11 million, but it isn't worth another hold out or trading him. I would have no problem saying that Chris Kelsay had a better 2008 season than Peters...
LABills08 Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I would have no problem saying that Chris Kelsay had a better 2008 season than Peters... See, I think that is crazy. On what basis? The list of reasons for the massive Bills collapse last season is fairly long. But, when you narrow it down, there are two fundamental reasons: 1) Coaching 2) Lack of a Pass Rush Unless you want to argue that Kelsay performed up to expecations (which are fairly low) and Peters did not, I think you're wrong.
