Not happening. They already brought in a guy to start at center. We need to have a starting RT now

That's right. The Bills have stated they're committed to Hangartner at center although they could draft a center to play guard if he was the best player available...it would give them greater flexibility.

But anyways according to this mock, Duke Robinson, one of the two top rated guards is available in the 3rd round and the Bills have the 10th pick in the 3rd round.

Both picks are reaches. I will be happy if we went with the following 3 as our top 3 picks, although they may not fall to us

1. Rey Maualuga, MLB, USC

2. Peria Jerry, DT, Ole Miss

3. T.J. Lang, OT, Eastern Michigan

I could see all three starting immediately

I know this is devolving into a discussion about our personal preferences but I like Ziggy Hood better than Peria Jerry. But I agree with you on O-lineman in the 3rd round.

A slightly better version of Schobel as far as a pass rusher goes, means Everette Brown will lead the league in sacks a few years. That ain't half bad for a reach. We are looking for a pass rush specialist according to the FO. The problem is that it's looking more and more likely somebody is going to reach in the top ten and take Brown before us.

And if Brown was gone I'd be very good with Robert Ayers (sorry Steely). Once again I'm ignoring tight end though.

Hey, no doubt about that. I definitely wouldn't complain if we got Robinson- he is a fantastic player. I am not high on Mack or particularly Unger though- not that high. I just think adding Maualuga and Jerry completely changes the dynamics of our defense.

Nothing. Same player Oakland let go a few years.

If by let go you mean he opted out of his contract with a year left to go on it, then it's the same player. Otherwise, of whom do you speak?

Hood is a very underrated player- I see Jerry as the heart and soul of one of the best DL's in college football last year. Ole Miss won't be as good without him- neither will Hardy

And they lifted a finger to stop him from leaving. Not all teams just let good players go. he wasn't good

Hard to believe Robinson would still be around by #75 Overall...But with all these High rated OT's who knows??? I guess it could happen...No question The Bills should jump on Him like a Bum on a Bologna Sandwich if so...

that's the problem with the Bills- they plugged in someone else's backup and pretend he's a starter

they need to draft a real NFL starting C - and play him at G in year 1 if he's not ready.

I like Maualuga alot, myself. If we go linebacker first, I like him better than Cushing. The big question for me is how well Maualuga can cover in our defense. Alot of posters seem to think POZ would be a better player outside as well, but I'm not sure he's athletic enough. I know he played it in college but that isn't really the same. If Poz can play outside at an average level and Mauluga can cover, I think this would be a great pick.

How are those two reaches? I highly doubt EB will even be there for our pick at eleven. Maualuga is a way bigger reach than EB. Peria Jerry won't be there in the second for us.

True...But what You gonna do? This is The Bills plan...DJ was clear about it...They like Hangartner a lot and they like Him more at OC than OG...They gave Him a 4 Year Deal...I think, like it or don't like it, The Bills feel there is no longer a Need at OC short or long term...I do believe they will be looking for an OG somewhere in 1st four Rounds of this Draft...

We'll see...

Gil Brandt was singing the praises over this T.J Lang. He said that he's a real under the radar kind of player. I take what Brandt says to heart, the guy just flat out knows talent. Everyone quotes Mayock this and Kiper that but none of all these "experts" are a pimple on the old guy's @$$ when it comes to evaluating football players.

what are you gonna do ??

with an OL that is weaker than last year -

miss the playoffs and struggle to win 6 games

should be fun, though, to watch TO have a death match with Dick Levy on the field during a Pats game

Robinson would be a no-brainer in the 3rd if he's there. Our latest mock has him going at #58 in RD2 to the Cheatriots.

First of all, where is this Hangartner was a backup stuff coming from? Do you read? He was a STARTER at Carolina last year, not a backup, and they wanted to keep him, but they couldn't because they have tremendous salary cap problems down there. No one is pretending anything. Carolina had one of the best OLs in football in terms of run blocking and overall statistics last year, so to claim this guy can't play is ludicrous.

That being said, I would still like to see the Bills draft one of Mack, Unger, or Robinson. Mack and Unger could play guard, or regardless of the Bills' "Commitment" to Hangartner playing center, he has a number of starts at the G position and could be moved to make way for Mack or Unger if that worked out. If not, the other two could play guard and be very good. Having guys that can play two OL positions is a luxury in the NFL. As for Robinson, no question the guy can play, and if he is available in the third round we should consider moving up to get him in the third. That wouldn't cost us much, and by that time, Buffalo likely will have addressed two of their other needs, i.e. DE, LB, DT, TE.

Do you have any articles, links, etc on this or is this just speculation? Because it sounds like you're just spinning your wheels in "I hate all things Bills" and he's the recipient this week of it.

With regard to Robinson, if he's there in the 2nd, him or Unger would be good options - Unger for his depth at three positions and Robinson for his Starting ability at LG and perhaps Tackle in a pinch.

Heck, if we did wait til round 3 for a TE, we'd probably have Coffman and maybe Casey. Either works. But, if we go TE round 2, we can get a Levitre perhaps, maybe Urbik or Wood....Lots o' options!
