KD in CA Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 C'mon, everyone knows Jeter is overrated. 98083 Good point. How many did he boot against the Sox? Three? (Not to mention his Mendoza like batting average!)

daquixers Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 LOL - Jeter overrated? Thats like saying Ronald Reagan was 'kinda' liked by people. Jeter is the best shortstop in baseball and is the heart of the Yankees. PERIOD.

daquixers Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Dude, welcome to sarcasm. 98338 LOL - that wasnt towards you. If it was I would have put your message in quotations. It was just towards everyone (mostly the Bostonians) who thinks Jeter is overrated.
rolly Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I hate the yankees with a passion as I am a red sox fan. However, I have the utmost respect for Derek Jeter and I think he does nothing but good for the game.

gmac17 Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Jeter is the best shortstop in baseball and is the heart of the Yankees. PERIOD. he may be the heart of the yankees, but he surely isn't the best shortstop in baseball. And how did Mr. Clutch do in the ALCS? .200 batting average and 2 errors. It's amazing how those "intangibles" go down the crapper when your team has stevestojantty pitching.
SeanO Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I think Jeter is a great player. Quality fielder with a smart/poweful bat! But he is not a gold glove SS, "GLOVE"Arod is much better at the position, sh1t Cabarera is better with the glove! I guess the Visquel is in decline LOL - Jeter overrated? Thats like saying Ronald Reagan was 'kinda' liked by people. Jeter is the best shortstop in baseball and is the heart of the Yankees. PERIOD. 98322
