Bmwolf21
So I found a LeBron James McFarlane figure (Series 13) at the local Wal-Mart and put it up on the wall in my son's bedroom (still in the packaging, just used a 3M Command hook) and didn't think anything about it. Didn't notice until the other day that the floor stand he's packaged with does not have his name, team or number - it reads "Shaquille O'Neal, #32, Miami Heat." The package is still sealed, so I don't think someone bought it and returned it with the wrong floor, and I can't find anything online talking about this kind of error. Anyone know anything about this type of packaging error, does it make it worth anything extra, or am I just grasping at straws here? EDIT: Included a link to a pic - sorry the quality isn't better. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g280/bmwolf21/DSCN0807.jpg

I'm not sure of the value, but it's pretty cool nevertheless (alwaysthemore). I collect McFarlane figures of athletes I like (which means I only by the HOF editions of older players), but I take them out of the packaging and display them on top of a shelf I have in my office. I've got a Ted Williams figure that's holding a Willie Mays bat (obviously not worth much because I took it out of the package). To answer your question, I'm not sure what the market is for McFarlane's... much less errors.

Beerball
They all probably look alike to the schmuck in China who put the two pieces together.

I'd like to put them on a shelf in my kid's room but right now we're renting, so we can't drill holes into the walls and hang any shelving. So I figured for the time being, keep them in the box and hook 'em on the wall. I'm just surprised that I can't find anything on the Spawn.com message boards about this error. Bmwolf21
Now that I've found the Spawn.com message boards and had time to search through some of the threads, I found this one: http://board.spawn.com/forums/showthread.p...highlight=Error He's got a bunch of sports errors with photos - guys with no names on their jerseys, guys with the wrong base or missing a piece of equipment, etc. Interesting to see how many made it out with mistakes. See Beer's post on this topic and you'll have the reason why so many did make it out: They all probably look alike to the schmuck in China who put the two pieces together. does it say f*ckface on the underside of the bat? No, but they should design a Billy Ripken though for that reason.

Reading some of the messages on Spawn.com's MB I got the impression that a lot of people are disgusted with McFarlane's quality control and customer service procedures. I would love to see a Billy Ripken f**kface McFarlane. I'm surprised that none of the custom places have done that yet. And on that note, I'd love to have a couple custom ones done, but I don't have the extra cash for that right now. I'd like to see if one those places could do a decent job turning my loose McGahee Bills figure into a Lynch.
