ExiledInIllinois
In this day and age, how can polls close in IN and KY at 1700 and 1800 (5:00 and 6:00 PM)? Why just not vote on Staurdays?

ExiledInIllinois
I am sorry... I included the central time zone... I assume that would be 1800 and 1900 (6:00 and 7:00 PM)?? It still seems way too early, given the way people work now?

What I hate is when people who don't vote and then B word about the results. I will always tell them to STFU. I hope you voted often, seeing as it's your duty in Illinois to do so. BTW, did you registar and vote in proxy for everyone in your local cemetary?
jimshiz
The polls in Indiana are open from 6 AM to 6 PM. That is 12 hours. Employers are required by law to allow people to vote. I voted before work. I will vote no matter how many hours the polls are open. I'll just make sure I do it between the correct hours at the correct polling place. I had to get back and vote in Illinois. You know, I had to make my "double vote" count. Gee... Somebody should have told me NY and IL were "Kerry" states! Anyway, passing through OH and IN... I dropped a few absentees off. I like the sign they had facing the westbound traffic in Cleveland on I-90. A picture of GWB (the thing was huge, took up a building) with the caption: "Don't worry about the federal deficit. Your kids will have to pay it, not you." You know, like they do with the video poker? I like it. No one seems to know what they're voting over anyway, can you imagine 6 Scotch into it "I dareyou to vote for ______" Boy, would THAT put a crimp in the polls.
