San Jose Bills Fan Posted March 9, 2009 Share Posted March 9, 2009 Except for Tony Bogyo in Bills Daily, no one has asked the obvious question: Does Terrell Owens' new contract contain a clause preventing the Bills from franchise tagging him after the contract expires? If he has a great season, we might want to franchise him and work out a longer deal or do a tag and trade. If such a clause exists, he could just walk and we'd have no recourse. But at the same time because he signed in Buffalo it suggests he probably had nowhere else to go so he may not have had the leverage to get this type of clause.
