stuckincincy
What if he has a 1600 yd 15 TD year? Then every other BUF wr got assassinated after game 6. We would be busy attending funerals...
BuffaloBill
no, the 1 year deal is the main thing that is letting me rationalize this. Asolutely ... if the thing blows up we are not carrying dead cap money like Dallas.
BuffaloBill
Just trying to figure out how important it is to people that he goes away at the end of the season. What if he has a 1600 yd 15 TD year? We would then all wake up from the dream. If Edwards can put up those numbers you would have to Billieve that he has learned to play the game. Not to mention the Bills make a hard run at T.O. next year.

What if he has a 1600 yd 15 TD year? none of my feelings on this have anything to do with what i might think will happen AFTER this season. nor will i base any opinion on that, yet. ill start to evaluate it midway through the season. for now, we have him for this season. and i cant wait to see what he does this year. right now, i dont want him to leave and i dont want him to stay. i just want him to play his ass off this season. Bill from NYC
It wouldn't matter how many years he signed for. If he has great numbers this year, he will want a new contract. If he was signed long term it wouldn't matter. He would make the Jason Peters situation look like a lovefest in terms of holding out.

People seem to act like he gives up if he doesn't get his money and that's just not true. He's one of the hardest workers in the league, almost always. Furthermore, people make it seem like he has this distinct pattern in time, when the fact is, he wore out his welcome in SF in eight years, in Philly in one and a half, and in Dallas in two and a half. I'm also not altogether sure Romo and McNabb werent half at fault.
Bill from NYC
I'm also not altogether sure Romo and McNabb werent half at fault. I'm not so sure either, especially Romo, who I view as something of a celebrity creation more than a football player, if that makes any sense. As I recall, TO played with a broken bone in the superbowl where McNabb got "tired."
The Dean
It would depend on the guaranteed money. If they could still cut him, with total impunity, in mid season, I'd be fine with it.
The Jokeman
No, I like the one year deal. It gives him a reason to behave himself to try and get more money next year. True but let's hope that he's willing to stick around here to do so. It's funny but looking back one has to wonder if things would have turned out different for TO had the trade to Baltimore actually happened.
