Alphadawg7
Per Rotoworld... According to his agent, "several" teams are interested in free agent SS Roy Williams. Williams has already turned down an offer from one team. He's looking for a chance to play for a team with a 4-3 scheme that will allow him to play closer to the line of scrimmage. I think he could be a good fit here...5 Pro Bowls in 7 years in the league and he is 28 years old...this would free up Whitner to be a playmaker. We have the right scheme...worth a look. Leonidas
Roy Williams is awful against the pass. I wouldn't even entertain this idea. In the cover 2 both safeties need to get deep. The Patriots would have a field day with him. Pass.
atlbillsfan1975
I posted this last week. I think you are right on about him. Whitner can play FS. Its is definetly worth a look. Price has to be right. There was talk about him moving into a weakside LB role. Especially in nickel coverages.
IHFO
whitner and williams... that sounds good glad we are building a team on how names sound..could be a law firm or something tho someday who knows lol
IHFO
He's solid against the run so if they wanted to use him as a LB I think it would be interesting...still sucks against the pass though and our LB's in this scheme have to cover

Pete
I like it! Especially once we start stock piling pass rushers this draft!

cody
Williams has already turned down an offer from one team. He's looking for a chance to play for a team with a 4-3 scheme that will allow him to play closer to the line of scrimmage Our SS does not play that close to the line of Scrimmage. Roy Williams wants a team that runs the Greg Williams style 46.
lets_go_bills
If Whitner is rangy enough to hold down the free safety spot; if McKelvin, McGee and Florence can cover guys well; if the D-Line can pressure the QB; then Williams can be an asset. He is a devastating hitter and a run stopping force but he is an extreme liability in pass coverage. It is a risky move but it could work in Buffalo if they deploy him properly. Plus, he's an upgrade over Scott.
