A Baltimore fan says in defense to The Bills...

Are you kidding me? The Bills have an excellent quarterback in Trent Edwards.. Trent Edwards was one of the top QBs in the NFL prior to his injury.. He started the season off playing incredible.. Of the 14 games he played in, he threw at least 1 touchdown in 10 of the 14 games.. Thats a better ratio than our own Joe Flacco had this season.. aside from Lee Evans, the Bills dont have another reciever that will actually show up more than twice a year so now with T.O. there, that takes a lot of the double teams off of Evans.. The Bills show promise every year, and yes, they are a good team.. We went 5-11 two years ago, but nobody on here was saying we werent a good team..

We didnt need cancer on our team.. We're SMART for not going after him.. T.O could have ruined Flacco's career.. Theres nothing worse for a sophomore NFL quarterback than a wide receiver that will get in his ear about anything.. Im glad he signed in Buffalo..

Another Baltimore fan...

Hey hey hey...don't completely knock the Bills...they have some talent, they're just missing consistency and a couple of pieces to the puzzle.

Trent Edwards isn't that bad, but he's still at least a year away from being the starter that can take the Bills to the playoffs in a tough AFC East. Marshawn Lynch is definitely a superb RB, but he needs to stop being a bonehead like another former Buffalo RB -- O.J. Simpson. Lee Evans is a talented WR and has been the only solid receiver the Bills have had the past couple of years. Leodis McKelvin was a great return specialist his rookie season and has also shown flashes of being a decent CB. And Donte Whitner has been a solid leader in that young defensive secondary. In fact, Whitner led all first-time starting safeties as a rookie with 104 tackles that season, in a season that had more than a couple of impressive first-time starters at safety.

The Bills aren't a terrible team. Just inconsistent. And they're in a crowded division with the upstart Dolphins, the ever-dominant Patriots, and the new-look Jets.

I'll post more interesting things as the forums come on... :flirt:
