Will Tony Gonzalez reconsider the Bills now?

It's more of a no-go than ever. Not enough touches to go around between TG and TO...

True. Personally, I too think the TO signing makes it even LESS likely that the Bills pursue an elite pass-catching TE. The Bills have plenty of options in the receiving game now at many different levels. From an offensive standpoint, their goal now needs to be to ensure that Trent stays upright. In a contradictory sense that could even make Pettigrew's stock higher now for the Bills, given that he is by all accounts the best BLOCKING TE in the draft class. I just don't see the front office parting with valuable draft picks that can be spent on helping to fortify the offensive line (and help the defense) in exchange for one of these veteran pass-catching TEs.

Derek Fine played, I think, in parts of 8 games last year. I saw potential, and I certainly didn't see enough to write him off. We need to add a LG and a LOLB in FA, then grab our LDE in round #1, and we be good to go! I'm finally excited about the Bills again! (TO Reference)...

Gonzo might be more inclined to think about but the Bills may be less inclined, since he would probably demand close to what T.O. got. Can't really see the Bills paying too 35+ year olds that much money. Maybe if we were close and just missing a few pieces, but this team still needs alot of work, despite all the hype and excitement of T.O. coming to Buffalo.

The TG ship sailed long ago. That deal is dead. And there's a new regime in KC anyway.

That's true but Tony may not want to be in that rebuilding stage for the rest of his NFL career.
