IMO the one thing it does is make Pettigrew a less likely pick at #11.

The Bills' stated mission was to get Trent more weapons. Now they have T.O.

As a result I think it's more likely they go round two or three for tight end instead of round one.

The best TE available won't be in the league until 2010, Jermaine Gresham. Yes, TE is a need, but Edwards has more than enough weapons between Evans, Owens, Lynch, Jackson, and even Josh Reed.

Owens biggest concern is getting the ball enough. Drafting a TE now in the 1st or 2nd round isn't necessary. If Buffalo wants a TE, draft one in Rounds 1-2 next year after Owens either establishes a long-term deal with Buffalo, or, the more likely situation, after Owens leaves after one year.

The Bills really just need to sign a LB (Keiaho, Peterson, June, or resign, Crowell.)

Otherwise, the draft should be spent improving both lines and the SS spot. With Owens signing, I believe the needs change a bit in Buffalo for drafting. If Buffalo can, I would trade back in round one with Philadelphia. Buffalo could pick up an extra 2nd round pick.

I would then draft accordingly:

Buffalo 1st round (#21 Philadelphia) C Alex Mack or Mack Unger

Buffalo 2nd round (#42) DE/DT Evander Ziggy Hood

Buffalo 2nd round (#53 G (Duke Robinson/Herman Johnson/Kraig Urbik)

Buffalo 3rd round SS, Chip Vaughn, Wake Forest)

Buffalo 4th round DE, Jarron Gilbert San Jose State

Round 5

OG, Andy Kemp, Wisconsin

Round 6

OLB, Corey Smith, Cinn, or Kaluka Maiva, USC (both have experience in Cover 2 and played special teams in college)

Round 7

QB (Cullen Harper, Curtis Painter, or Graham Harrell likely available. Great possibility to challenge for #3 QB spot)

Do we take Petterdrew? a De or NT?.... thoughts?

Pettigrew, or any other TE, is out of sight as draft need now, don't forget TO doesn't like Tight Ends!!!
