Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez

Recommended Posts

This country is so screwed we don't even know what hit us. WAKE UP YOU LIBERAL DRONES!!!!!!

AND WHEN RED CHINA IS MORE CAPITALIST THAN THE U.S., YOU KNOW WE'RE FU$KED.

From Drudge Report:

Caracas - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on Friday called upon US President Barack Obama to follow the path to socialism, which he termed as the "only" way out of the global recession. "Come with us, align yourself, come with us on the road to socialism. This is the only path. Imagine a socialist revolution in the United States," Chavez told a group of workers in the southern Venezuelan state of Bolivar.

The controversial Venezuelan leader, who taunted the United States as a source of capitalistic evil under former president George W Bush, added that the United States needs a leader who can take it to a "higher" destiny and bring it out of "the sad role that it has been given, as a murderous, attacking power that is hated all around the world."

Chavez said that people are calling Obama a "socialist" for the measures of state intervention he is taking to counter the crisis, so it would not be too far-fetched to suggest that he might join the project of "21st century socialism" that the Venezuelan leader is heading.

"Nothing is impossible. Who would have thought in the 1980s that the Soviet Union would disappear? No one," he said.

"That murderous, genocidal empire has to end, and some day there has to come a leader ... who interprets the best of a people who also include human beings who suffer, endure, weep and laugh," the outspoken Chavez said.

You're gonna give yourself a heart attack.

Quick! Look! What's that?! OMG! A commie?! A pinko?! OBL?!

The world is a very scary place. Very scary.

By the way who gives a rat's ass what Hugo Chavez says? Oh I better be careful, a lot of poor people in New England probably like him a LOT since he's still sending them free heating oil. Somehow it managed to get through the Bush blockade these past years...and I guess Obama's blockage isn't working either.

The Bush "blockade"? Courageous New Englanders running oil past US gunboats? What alternative universe do you live in? Your Bush bitterness is beyond the breath of my experience. But then, I don't assume multiple personalties on internet chat rooms.

OMG Hugo Chavez alluded to Obama in a speech! That must mean Obama agrees with whatever he says!

That's my point you dumbass. Tell you what, go to the dictionary and look up "sarcasm".

Bush turned a blind eye when Chavez sent heating oil to poor people in New England. Pretty ironic and downright hypocrital really.

People only give a crap what Chavez says when it suits their purposes. He's in hot water down there and his policies will collapse under their own weight. The mulit-nationals will fight to the bitter end but I can't wait for the day when that black goo upon which the world's economy is based is obsolete, as a fuel, lubricant, and component in ANY product it currently is used to make.

Where, then, were your righteous New England Democrats, shouting out in the media, resisting what you say?

Hmm?

Hmm?

You need to understand something about most Democrats, especially the hardliners like Blzrul. If the federal government can be involved, they SHOULD be involved, regardless of what, if anything, can take place at the state level. More federal involvement is preferred over less.

Katrina is a perfect example of this. City and state officials did absolutely nothing of significance when it came to either properly preparing for Katrina's arrival, or handling/managing the aftermath of Katrina's damage. What was the first thing local officials did when Katrina hit? Get on TV and scream "Where is the federal government? How come they won't come get us out of here?" while rows of buses sat by themselves doing nothing.

You can't expect local Dems to voice an opinion until they're told what opinion to voice at the federal level. Just doesn't happen. Hardline Democrats believe the federal government is the only entity that can fix problems.

The time to worry is when you hear Democrats using the words "Only government can (fill in the blank)."
