ExWNYer
True, that has been documented, but it has not been documented on why he is likely turning down the Bills. The Dolphins ended up not being interested, but when it was reported they were and offered less money than the Bills, it was reported he would likely go to the Phins. Hence, its not just about money, he likely doesn't want to go to Buffalo. Bill, who said he's turning down the Bills? I say he's just doing his due diligence. We don't know for a fact that he wanted to go to Miami. That was just as much media speculation, due to his past relationship with Pennington, as anything else. This is his last chance at a big payday and he owes it to himself to explore all possibilities. Is having Carson Palmer as your QB somehow worse than Trent Edwards? I'm not sure why people think playing for Cincy is worse than Buffalo. We're currently the AFC's Lions.
Magox
We put a deadline on the offer, that is enough. If he doesn't want it, that's fine, as long as we don't chase after him. The Bills FO should focus on the Waters trade possibility. I think this would have a greater impact anyway.
SKOOBY
Sorry Bills fans, consider this one gone. Hopefully this will allow the FO to get off it's butt and start focusing on other areas. I never considered him here much less gone. Why would anyone want to play for the Bills now?
Fingon
I never considered him here much less gone. Why would anyone want to play for the Bills now? Why would anyone want to play for the bengals?
Numark
Why would anyone want to play for the bengals? Money is the answer to those questions. But I do agree we are a more attractive team than the bengals.
Steely Dan
If Coles goes to the Bengals I don't want to trade for Holt if that means it will be our only trade. I feel like if we do trade picks in a trade, that we won't make another one. I would much rather use picks to try and pry Brian Waters from KC rather than using those picks to get an aging WR I'd love to see Waters added if it was for a 3rd or later and I think Holt could be had for a fourth or less if it sal cap dump the scRams are looking for. So if Buffalo traded a third for Waters and a fourth for Holt then I'd say do it up. DT and TE can be addressed in the first two rounds. How embarrassing for the Bills FO (and us fans) that the Bills went after Coles and he doesn't want to sign there, even going to visit the Bengals. Shows how far we've fallen this decade. He doesn't want to sign here because he's asking for too much money and the Bills aren't going to pony up the dough which they shouldn't. All he wants is the moolah! He wants more money. We don't want to give him $6 million. We shouldn't give him $6 million. The Bengals MIGHT give him it, since they just lost Housh. They would be spending foolishly, IMO. I'm not sure why people think playing for Cincy is worse than Buffalo. We're currently the AFC's Lions. Miami was very interested in him but dropped out of the running. That should tell everyone a lot. I'm guessing because he wants more money than he's worth. He made a big mistake by turning down the Jests offer of $6 million and he's desperately trying to at least get that or more, I would think. He's just not worth it. As for being the Lions the Bills aren't even in the top ten of picks let alone the first overall after a winless season. I just finished talking to a guy from Time Warner, who's a big Bills fan, because I was having a problem with my cable and he said he's met Coles and he's the nicest pro athlete he's ever met. Just thought you guys might find that interesting.

Pop quiz: Which AFC team has currently gone the longest without a playoff appearance? Which NFC team? Go ahead. I'll wait.
