Buffaloed in Pa Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 No problem we have countered them with numerous quality signings.
lets_go_bills Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 http://www.sportsbybrooks.com/is-peppers-r...-kc-trade-22564 http://www.eastcoastsportsnews.com/als09scoop.html Rumors are flying that the New England Patriots could make a run at Panthers DE/OLB Julius Peppers since the Patriots have extra cap space by dealing QB Matt Cassel to the Chiefs And they have the extra pick to deal. Crap. We already went 0-6 against the division, and now each team except us is getting better. Carolina will undoubtedley want a lot for him. I'm betting it's something like two 1sts.
pBills Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 I thought Peppers was franchised? Of course that doesn't mean the patriots will work out some deal that will make no sense, like trading a 5th round pick this year and a 6th next year for him.
Poeticlaw Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 http://www.sportsbybrooks.com/is-peppers-r...-kc-trade-22564 http://www.eastcoastsportsnews.com/als09scoop.html Rumors are flying that the New England Patriots could make a run at Panthers DE/OLB Julius Peppers since the Patriots have extra cap space by dealing QB Matt Cassel to the Chiefs Doesnt effect us the FO philosophy is that we have already conceded the division to them. We are hoping for the wild card entrance. But dont expect to go far especially if their there.
thebug Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Our new chant will be 0 and 6......0 and 6....0 and 6!
VOR Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 A lot of teams are interested in Peppers. All they have to do is give-up a 1st rounder and pay Peppers $14+M a year and he's theirs. But Peppers said that if he remains in Carolina, he won't be a distraction. So the Panthers have all the leverage here.
billnutinphoenix Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Don't worry...we are in the running to get Peppers, right?
thebug Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Don't worry...we are in the running to get Peppers, right? The only peppers we have a shot at are the ones at Wegman's.
BLZFAN4LIFE Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Don't worry...we are in the running to get Peppered, right? Fixed.

This is the question you have to ask. Give a boat load of money to someone who has proven nothing. That `s why the Pat`s keep picking up Vets with a few yrs left . There is always another one a few yrs down the line again when there guy is done. And they always have cap money. Throw in a couple draft picks . There you go. It seems to work.

The Patriots don't like to pay that much for players.

What would you pay one of the best pass rushers in football ? If they want him bad enough they will get him. Again Buff was not on his short list anyway.

That's because he wants to play OLB in a 3-4 and wants to go to a team that he thinks can win it all.

VOR Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 You said it. Except he will play De for a winner. He'd play DE for the Bills, if they offered the Panthers their 1st rounder and agreed to pay Peppers Haynesworth-type money.
crazyDingo Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 When have the Patsies ever been a threat to us, with or without Peppers?
