FluffHead Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 per rotoworld: "In addition to Leigh Bodden and Shawn Springs, the Patriots have reportedly been in touch with free agent CB Jabari Greer. Greer was never a difference maker in Buffalo, but New England is sorely in need of stability at cornerback. The Patrs drafted a pair of mid-round corners last year (Terrence Wheatley, Jonathan Wilhite) and neither stepped up."
Pete Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Well if we aren't going to open up our wallet to sign any difference makers we !@#$ing should sign Greer! WTF?
JPicc2114 Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Well if we aren't going to open up our wallet to sign any difference makers we !@#$ing should sign Greer! WTF? Greer is not needed here.. nor is he worth the money he is going to get paid.
lets_go_bills Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Someone will overpay for Greer. But it won't be Buffalo, or New England.
drinkTHEkoolaid Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 doesnt suprise me, i wouldnt like him to go to someone in the division
Buffaloed in Pa Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Just watch how much better Greer looks with a PASS RUSH. I still like Greer better than Mc Burnt.
Glass To The Arson Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 If we sign Florence... I'll be a bit happier We still have youboty
Buffaloed in Pa Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 If we sign Florence... I'll be a bit happier We still have youboty It doesn`t matter who we have at corner. READ SLOWLY AS POSSIBLE. .............NO PASS RUSH....... NO SECONDARY PLAY............

Way to pay attention there rotoworld.
Fingon Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Seems like Greer could be signing with Detroit by the end of today. "The Lions could get free agent CB Jabari Greer under contract by as soon as Sunday, according to the Detroit Free Press. Greer has visited the Lions and they remain interested in corners despite already trading for Anthony Henry and signing Eric King. Henry is probably moving to safety. Greer may be asking for Domonique Foxworth money. " per rotoworld
SWVABillsFan Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 What happened with the last Tennessee player that went to Detriot? It was Shawn Bryson. Nothing. With the depth Buffalo has at CB to remain with Buffalo he will just be another overpaid player.
LabattBlue Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Greer is not needed here.. nor is he worth the money he is going to get paid. They let Greer walk and next year when they see McGee's asking price, he will be walking too. Then what? You guessed it...another CB in the first round!
Dwight Drane Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Greer is a perfect fit for New England. New England is as good as they are for one reason. The foundation of their team is a bunch of intelligent football players with enough talent that by working together, they improve through synergy. It is that simple, and the blueprint Marv Levy was attempting to copy. Greer is just plain old solid. He knows where to be and has good instincts. I hope someone does overpay for him because he is a class act.
rackemrack Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Greer will sign with the Lions. poor greer... what a horrible career decision lol
