Simon Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Considering how desperate the Bills have been to field a quality second safety and how badly this team needs quality veteran leadership, I thinking bringing Dawkins in for those numbers would have been a very acceptable risk.

Pretty fair price I'd say. The deal can escalate from $17M to $27M with some performance clauses that are easily attainable. I would've given him more than that to play in Buffalo. Quite frankly I'm shocked he left Philly. They should've bent over backwards to keep him.
