Simon
Considering how desperate the Bills have been to field a quality second safety and how badly this team needs quality veteran leadership, I thinking bringing Dawkins in for those numbers would have been a very acceptable risk. bills44
that's it? Good deal for Denver.
StupidNation
I think Whitner's salary at twice that of Dawkins (if you include cap with salary) is awesome. Dawkins at least has done something.
nucci
If Dawkins had anything left, Philly would have kept him.
C.Biscuit97
2 INTs in his last 32 games. I like the guy a lot but he is basically an undersized LB right now.
Magox
denver loves bringing in those end of career safety's. First Lynch now Dawkins. Lynch didn't end up being bad for them though.

C.Biscuit97
That's 2 more than Dante. Actually Stupid, it's 1 more. And Whitner is 23, Dawkins is 36.

Pretty fair price I'd say. The deal can escalate from $17M to $27M with some performance clauses that are easily attainable. I would've given him more than that to play in Buffalo. Quite frankly I'm shocked he left Philly. They should've bent over backwards to keep him.
