PromoTheRobot Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Per Adam Scheftner @ NFl Network.Link/details soon. Scott Pioli...the Manchurian GM. Did he give Bill Bellicheat KC's entire 2009 draft? Â PTR
FluffHead Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I hope the pats didnt get the 3rd pick in the draft.
H2o Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 No, but he sure did bail them out salary cap wise.
H2o Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I hope the pats didnt get the 3rd pick in the draft. Might as well start picturing Aaron Curry in a Pats uniform
BLZFAN4LIFE Posted February 28, 2009 Author Posted February 28, 2009 No details yet, but the contract is expected to be in the neighborhood of 7 yrs $72 mil. Â More first round picks is just what the Patsies need!
BigdaddyinOrlando Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I hope the pats didnt get the 3rd pick in the draft. First thing I thought of also. This also gives the Pats some $15mil more room under the cap!
Erik Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 No details yet, but the contract is expected to be in the neighborhood of 7 yrs $72 mil. More first round picks is just what the Patsies need!  Schefter speculates a 2nd rounder this year and conditional next year...
colin Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 could they really trade the 3rd overall for matt cassel? that would be insane and horrible.
Stussy109 Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 No details yet, but the contract is expected to be in the neighborhood of 7 yrs $72 mil. More first round picks is just what the Patsies need!   Wow, I suspect he will be a pretty big Free Agent bust once he comes away from the Ptriots offense.
rackemrack Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 i hope tom brady gets another infection...
Kelly the Dog Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I knew someone would be a sucker. Since Pioli is a guy that saw him play up close and personal all that time, and was the one that pulled the trigger on the trade today, it looks to me like Cassel might be the real deal. Pioli may, of course, be wrong. But if any of the other 30 teams traded for him instead of the Chiefs, there would be a much better reason to believe they were a sucker.
Huuuge Bills Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Per Adam Scheftner @ NFl Network.Link/details soon. Â Seriously, is Pioli trying to wreck the chiefs on purpose? Veterans are asking to be released, he hires a coach that the players hate, gives up a pick for an over the hill Mike Vrable, and now he gives a good pick to the pats* for an overrated (and expensive) QB.
H2o Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 What about Thigpen? I thought he played very well for them last season when given his shot. He was only a rookie himself. I can't believe that they didn't think the guy would improve even more. I wonder if he would garner any interest as trade bait?
Fewell733 Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 no way the chiefs would give up their 1st this year. That would be completely insane.
nucci Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/02/28/chiefs-com...ade-for-cassel/
BigdaddyinOrlando Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Per Adam Scheftner @ NFl Network.Link/details soon. The only thing good about this is that those 2 minuns over at ESPN in Mort and Clayton have yet to break this. Gotta love they way Scheftner pulls ythe rug out from under these guys repeatedly!!
