Interesting Coles story

From Western New York native (and my former Palm Beach Post teammate) Brian Biggane ...

Sounds like he is trying to let Coles make his own decisions. I can understand this ... It is about making a living and friendship probably should not overshadow this.

Pennington is being tempered in his comments, well aware that he would be slapped silly by Parcells if he campaigned "publicly" for the Dolphins to sign Coles.

I'm sure having his good friend join him down in Miami would be extremely appealing to him.

BS....if Pennington wants to win and thinks Coles will help him do that, he'd lobby the hell out of him. Maybe he thinks Coles is out of gas...

Tim - I would also love to know about the Dockery trade story...

Thanks Tim.

Burning the midnight oil for sure tonight.

Heh. I think Mr. Graham got less sleep than I did last night, and I was working a midnight shift ...

Tim, that's not the only curious thing about Coles. According to one blog that's had decent info at times, he's still in town:

Trouble is, that directly contradicts what your former colleague at The News wrote:

The visit by veteran receiver Laveranues Coles at One Bills Drive has ended. He finished his tour of the Bills' organization and has headed back to the airport to catch a plane. This doesn't mean Coles is going to sign or not sign with the Bills. Obviously negotiations could carry on through the night with his agent, or he could opt to continue a tour around the league. The favorite to sign Coles, if the Bills do not strike a deal in the next day or so, would be Miami, because Coles is such close friends with Dolphins quarterback Chad Pennington, with whom he played in New York.

Got anything on that?

And it truly is a small world -- Biggane's a Bona grad, and I think he interned at the OTH. (That was a while ago, though. :w00t: )

And it truly is a small world -- Biggane's a Buffalo guy and a Bona grad.

Just don't ask NFL Network or Adam Shefter where Coles is....
